    It was clear to everyone who read it that it was inappropriate to start a thread on it and it was also antagonistic.

    Tone is everything. It could have more easily gotten you what you wanted. You do have to realize that you DID break the rules.

    The whole name calling thing that he did probably didn't leave you feeling warm and friendly. However, that could have been a strong point in a balanced argument.
