In a previous post, I explained my complete theory on what would occur in 14 and 15. A lot of the stuff was sketchy, but I had an idea that the "new villain" would be the the Warden of the Boiling Rock. As I said in that other topic, I've based this on the fact that 16 is called "The Southern Raiders."

Bio - The Warden could be a former Fire Nation general, who was responsible for conquering the Southern Water Tribe. (As we saw in episode in "The Puppetmaster", the Southern tribe could've been a formidable place.) Due to his success, Ozai made him the leader of the Boiling Rock.

"Disturbing Connection to Katara and Sokka" - It is posssible, that in one of his final invasions, The Warden murdered Katara's mom. From that point on, Katara and Sokka acould never forget him.

Part In Story - In 14 or 15, Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee could be there to see the Warden. Due to his success with the Southern tribe, Ozai wnats him to assist in the destruction of the North. (On the day of the Comet) After the Gang battles Ozai's Angels and gets away, the Warden could be intrigued by how crafty the Avatar (and his firends) are. (At some point in this episode, Katara could come in contact with him, setting up a flashback for the next episode.) The Warden, with a new motivation for destruction, could then leave the prison to regroup his former Invasion team. The infamous Southern Raiders.

    Reasons I like This:

I'm REALLY REALLY tired of nothing but Uber-Azula fight scenes in these episodes. (She's good, we get that) I want a new villain become a recurring character.

His group of Southern Raiders, could be team of really cool, individuals villains. (Like they could all have different weapons and traits) They'd keep things exciting for the final.

I did, with my idea for 14 and 15 in it. But I didn't have a poll on it, and only like 7 people read it. Now I can't find the old one, but I want people to hear this theory, and post thier own ideas.

If you posted this before I didn't read it. I think the idea is good and interesting. But i find some things that don't fit. First, you said that because of the conquer of the south pole, Ozai made the warden the leader of boiling rock. But the south pole was conquered before Ozai was firelord. Remember Hama, she was and old lady and she was the last waterbender from the south pole. Also Katara said that the abandoned ship in the pole has hunted her tribe for generations. If your theory was true, the warden would be an old man and Azulon would have been the firelord that made him leader of The Boiling Rock, unless that title was given years after he conquered the south pole. Or that warden maybe was the one that killed Katara and Sokka's mom about 6 years ago but was not the one responsable for eliminating all the waterbenders. In that case it doesn't make much sense that he was awarded a title like being the Leader of Boiling Rock since any general could take down a few non bender warriors. If the warden was responsile for both, eliminating all the benders and killing Katara's mom he should be an old man. Also, Sokka can't remember what his mom looks like, so I doubt he remembers the person that killed her.

I remember before book 3 aired, there were supposed to be three new villains. Combustion Man, a new Water Tribe villain (turned out to be Hamma), and one with a disturbing connection to Sokka and Katara. We still have not seen who this third villain is. Many believe it's just Hamma. However, the way these new villains were mentioned made it sound like there were supposed to be three new villains.

I think it'll be interesting if Katara and Sokka's mom was actually the villain, but we'll see.

That would be VERY interesting...if she does turn out to be alive, could she have acquired the blood-bending skills Hama taught herself out of necessity in the Fire Nation prisons too? Ohhh that would be a huge plot twist.

I don't think thats likely. Katara and Sokka's mom was not a bender, as stated by Mike and Bryan in an interview:

"Yeah, Katara's mom and dad weren't benders. Maybe it's a recessive gene. I've always seen it as more spiritual connections, though. A little bit mysterious..."

I agree. Personally, I think it's a little out there for it to go on Avatar. It would be a weird plot twist that wouldn't fit into the story line. I'd almost be angry if it was her, because it would be so off topic and run-off-the-mill plot twist.
