azula kind of already answered your question, they are in jail for good
Actually, I think that they are going to be taken back to the firenation capital to be locked up in the prison there, what with the firenation's other most secure prison, the Boiling Rock, being in shambles.
I personally think that at some point (probably at the begining of the first episode of the finale) we might well see a scene similar to the one where Zuko visits Iroh in jail, but with Azula visiting Mai and Ty Lee. Once she's calmed down a bit, she'll probably rethink what she said about never wanting to see them again, and go back demanding to know why they betrayed her. She probably won't like the answers, and the result will be the brief glimpse of her that we caught in the NYCC trailer, with her hair let down, and surrounded by blue flames.

That's a good take on it. I'm trying to figure out where the crazy Azula will come into play in this. Originally, I thought that maybe Aang would take down the Fire Lord and have to deal with Azula later, a twist in the finale. Now I see that won't be happening, and it's bothering me in the back of my head. Your proposition makes a lot of sense. |
