    They're almost identical, and I cannot help but think this wasn't an intentional reference to Michaelangelo's famous sculpture in order to emphasize the Avatar's messianic destiny.

    hm... Aang didnt rise from the dead to relieve everyones mistakes... unless you think thats a foreshadow.

    WOW. Thatd be an amazing ending. Aang kills himself in the avatar state to end the war... hmm.

    Well, that would seal the Avatar story

    wow... im just thinking about it.
    if he does die, then no one can really be sad about why there isnt a fourth or fifth etc. book.

    man... that DEFINETLY is a possibility to keep open
