I noticed other users mention this in other threads so now I'm making them. Avatar is over sadly, but fans still like to discuss episodes. However, making episode discussion threads is kind of pointless now, so now each season will have its own discussion thread. Please try to keep all discussion here. Obviously it can't be solely limited to this thread, but I think you know what I mean.

So now, discuss the first season in this amazing series!

I swear, I could watch Siege of the North over and over all day long. One of my favorite episode(s) of the series

Mmm ah yes, this was a really good book and a start to this amazing series of Avatar: The Last Airbender indeed. We first see Antarctica and its Water Tribe inhabitants there, and Katara the luckiest girl along wiht her very lucky brother Sokka, come across a big icerberg which had Aang, the last Airbender on Earth and also the current Avatar, and it finally free from its clutches. ANd that's how it all started. I'd say the last two finale epiusodes Seiges of the North were the most epic.

This is also the only book that has Captain then Commander then Admiral Zhao, as in the finale it looks like he became non-existent due to Aang's Avatar State.

I THINK Yue was the name of the white-haired girl that had to turn into the moon to revive the white koi fish and restore balance to the world.

Ah, great book that began great and ended great.

Yue was in fact her name. This was my second favorite Avatar season, right after season 3. It was a great beginning to the series; we were introduced to the characters we now love, and the episodes were intriguing. My favorite episodes were the Seige of the North both parts, Winter Solstice both parts, The Waterbending Scroll, the Storm, and Jet

All of the finales were epic, and this one's didn't disappoint.

However, this definitely isn't my favourite season. Why? The majority of the time was solely to get to know the characters and understand the story line, which took away from developing the plot.

I loved it due to the focus on Waterbending. Water is my favorite element.

Of course this finale didn't disappoint, it was one of the first biggest episodes of the show (does that make sense?) and it was a major point in both the Avatar world and to us. One of my favorite battles.

You can say that about each finale, though

Whatever, if it has three great finales then that just makes the show even better.

I was a big fan of the Jet episode and the Blue Spirit. Very good episodes in my opinion. Of course the finale was awesome too

I liked the Southerns Airtemple too. It was the start of "hey Zuko's deeper than that)

I liked this season because it introduced everything. We got a lot of insight on the gaang and Zuko and Iroh.

There were many filler episodes but i didn't that much because not much was happening until the end of the season (which was great). This was a very light-hearted season. However, it is probably my least favorite because of the sheer epicness of 2 and 3 that made them better but this is not a season to forget.

I really liked "The Blue Spirit" it showed how talented Zuko really was. It was a shame it didn't use his broadswards more and in combination with his firebeding, but alas it still epic.

What stood out the most to me about this season was how beautiful the Northern Water Tribe looked. The blue and white colors were perfectly blended.

That was probably my favorite episode of season 1 also. I like the episodes when its mainly about Zuko (like the episode "Zuko Alone".

Season 1 was great because it was just the three of them, the original members. I don't know why but whenever I make AMVs and stuff I tend to forget Toph ahahaha First season and third season were definitely my favorites.

No, that sounds cool, I would watch that if I still had nicktoons. I hear there's also supposed to be a pop-up edition of Avatar.
