So it finally got to youz guys. Well before any of you guys start with anything, here's a bit of clarification (from the editor guy when the contest was still running)-

"Most of Nick Mag's readership is in the 8-12 age range so our contest winners tend to be the same. This Avatar contest is one of the few times that we've recieved so many entries from older kids and even adults! It has been really cool to see all the awesome entries and we definitely are looking at all of them regardless of the age. But I believe when we pick the main 3 winners they will probably be from kids under 15...the runners up might included some of the older entries. But don't hold us to that-- because it's really going to be a group decision between several Nick Mag editors and writers and artists from the show."

Plus Isaia pretty much called it- http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/38488404/??Love that one. So you'know, comon now.

You stopped my breath for about 10 sec when I read the title. I'm like, The OC and Avatar! When worlds collide! But now I'm just disappointed and feeling dumb

Those were okay, but I don't like how they created their own elements. Shadow bending, cookie dough bending, and talking to animals? Where'd that come from?

I want to see Katara ripoff that disc invention. It seems like a combination of Axel's (Kingdom Hearts 2) Rising Sun weapons and a snowboard.

I think it's kinda cute for Nick to force the artists to degrade themselves.

Oh, but you know that deep down, the kids that won are thinking, "Why doesn't my character look as cool as the other character? And why does my character look like he's retarded, playing with the cookie dough like that and obviously has a pot belly even though he's under aged and isn't allowed to drink?"

I think they are somewhat making fun of the whole Mary/Marty Sue thing people tend to do in fanfictions.
What people should have done (the ones who where over age) is just lie about their age.

Yes, but I think it's more like bombing those characters. Earthbending - okay. Waterbending - sure, why not. Shadowbending? COOKIE DOUGH BENDING? What...why...what in the world possessed them to add...argh.

And notice how Nick made him the most "retarded-looking". No offense to the original artist, but see how Nick treats characters like yours?

Because of this I am now fully aware of the capacity of the human mind's creativity.
