The thing with those is, you have to pause it to be able to read what they say! Seriously, that was awful video editing. The zutarian who made that intellectual dummies thingy was waay better at video editing. (note: this is coming from a kataanger)

Oh yeah, I saw that. It was okaay... Kind of "Eh."

    Dave

also, let's say that Aang love for katara is his earthly attachment and he does have to give it up forever

    can you imagine his future?

gives up kat and reaches AS

    3 years later

    falls for ty lee

oh no!!!!!!!! he got a new earth attachment, he has to give up ty lee, or he will not be able to be the avatar

    1 year later

    he fall for On Ji

oh no!!!!!!!! he got a new earth attachment, he has to give up on Ji, or he will not be able to be the avatar

    another year later

    he falls for Toph

oh no!!!!!!!! he got a new earth attachment, he has to give up toph, or he will not be able to be the avatar

    a few months later

oh no, he now has become obsessed with collecting different types of staffs, it's a new earth attachment, he has to give up collecting staffs, or he will not be able to be the avatar

Which goes back to Dave's "love wasn't seen in his future" stance. which means the airbenders die off because Aang is the Last Air Nomad with air-bending DNA. Mike and Bryan said that it's a mixture of genetics and... something else. Basically they didn't really thing it through, so some can bend and some can't.

    Before I get to Wiselad:

Space, Airbenders can be trained. Fanfics are the only place where I've seen a "rule" that you can't learn a type of bending unless you are a decendent of that nation. Sky bisons taught people once, they can do it again.

    Now, onto Wiselad.

I'm not going to go back to the Aunt Wu argument because, as I said, it could be over turned with some VERY creative writing. Thus, it is plausable and I have said that the guru was, in fact the biggest thing. That's not to say the Aunt Wu stuff isn't evidence in its own way, but it isn't the biggest thing, which we are discussing here.

I read your post on the last page and it brings me back to when the guru said "forgotten." If he had just said "let it go", they could weasel their way out of it. However, he said that it had to be forgotten. Plus, with the fate of the world on the line, don't you think that a wise old guru would spell it out for Aang as best he could?

When Aang threw up his argument saying "I can't let go of Katara. I... I love her." and the other things he said, the guru didn't say, "Relax, young avatar, you only need to let go while you are in the AS." Instead, he re-emphasized that he had to let her go.

Now, onto "The Headband" and the NaDD kiss. Remember, the thought chakura was sealed shut by Azula's lightening. There's no reason for him not to feel his attachment.

The post that I quoted actually makes more sense than everything that everyone else has tried to argue. However, you are under the assumption that he will need it again. He may need it, he may not. However, I'd have to imagine that he'd try to use his natural amazing powers over his uber powers that force him to let go of his strongest attachment.

Now, before we bring up Roku, remember a few things. 1) We don't know what it was that he gave up at all the first time he went into the AS (this is going by the safe assumption that he used it before he fought Sozin).

    2) We don't know what it was that he gave up (if he had to do it again, maybe he never formed another attachment that strong, but I doubt that) when he fought Sozin. However, if there's any evidence that Ty Min was his attachment at the time, there's just as much that Sozin was his attachment at that time.

Here's a question for you: The only time that AtLA has been as objective as you are assuming it to be is during "The Fortuneteller." Remember the plans for the DoBS invasion? There was never any absolute proof that a solar eclipse definitally stopped firebending. In the most literal of terms, it was assumed. So, why would the show suddenly change to something that is completely objective?

It hasn't been stated anywhere that airbenders could be trained after having been killed off.

In TFM, Aang said that the first airbenders were skybisons. If they were the first, the air nomads would have to have been trained by them.

and as far as it is known, APPA is the last Flying Bison, and I don't see him staying alive if Aang dies, who will teach any new airbenders if both are really the last ones?

and Dave and I will never agree about the interpretation of forget

there are many different definitions of forget, and he chooses to see only one way

Didn't we see Roku's earthly attachment in The Avatar and the Fire-Lord? He seemed to enter into the Avatar State pretty easily.

Yeah, Roku going into the avatar state was pretty easy...I do not doubt that Aang could achieve this.

You know if you look up a Thai monk named AJAHN SUMEDHO, he is a highly revered monk based at Amaravati Forest Monastery and you'll find out about attachments. When you recognition a attachment doesn't mean that you must get rid of your wife . It means that you free yourself from wrong views about yourself and your wife . Then you find that there is love there, but that it's not attached; it's not distorting, clinging or grasping. The empty mind is quite capable of caring about others and loving, in the pure sense of love.

I just can't stand Zutara. The logic to it just mind boggling. We all know that Kataang will happen. Most Zutaraians can't even come up with good come backs. After watching The Boiling Rock I am also convinced that Maiko is alive and stronger then ever. The odds of Zuko cheating on Mai after all she did for him is zero to none.

Five come backs to Zutaraian logic.

    1. Zuko and Katara hug in the trailer. "LIKEE OMG THEEEY ARE HUGGING! THAT MEANSS THAT THEY ARE NOW LIKEE BOYFRIEND AND GIRLFRIEND!"-Zutaraian

Aang and Katara have hugged serval times

    2. Zuko and Katara are yin and yan. "FIRE AND ICE BABY!"-Zutaraian

You do know that there are also people that like people with simialer qualites.

    3. Aang is to young for Katara. "AANG IS TOO YOUNG FOR KATARA! SHE NEEDS A REAAL MAN!"-Zutaraian

Well Zuko is to old for Katara.

    4. There is sexual tension in Katara and Zuko fights. "LIKKE CANN'T YOUU CEE THE SEXUAL TENSION THEEY ARE SHOWING EACH OTHER?!"-Zutaraian

Yes because trieing to kill someone really says that you love someone.

    5. Didn't you see the trailer? Its shows that Kataang dosen't happen. "ZOMG THSI IS TEH BIGGGEST PROFF EVER FOR ZUTARRA!!!!1!-Zutaraian

Sometimes the creators can mislead us. Remeber this:

    KATAANG 4 EVER!

1)the hug only means katara's over her "i'll **** you up" phase. it doesn't mean zutara has happened. just that it can.

2)opposing forces are a major theme in avatar.

3)a lot more happens between 12 and 14 than between 14 and 16.

4)the sexual tension thing is bull.

5)the trailers only deceive people who make groundless assumptions from them. i, for one, wasn't expecting zuko and katara to hook in the season 2 finale. i wasn't even down with zutara until after watching it.

    nice try, but zutara prevails.
