    Yes, I have seen BR. Obviously Mai still loves him, I'm not denying that. But what about Zuko? Mai loving Zuko doesn't mean Zuko has to love her. Look what happened after he saw her beating the snot out of all those BR guards. Yeah, he gave her that look (that was just as ambiguous as Katara's during DoBS), but after he got off, he didn't seem that interested.

    They could easily have done the second option and had some Maiko. but no. Zuko was only thinking about escape, not Mai.

    Well, I think he knew that Mai could handle herself, and they really needed to escape. It was more important to escape for that moment. BTW, I'll help with the 2000 posts

    I read book, so I will not argue against or in favor of either ship either just like LM, but I will keep eye in here to correct any wrong assumptions all I will say without spoiling which ships end up being the ones; is that Bryke kind of "resolved the issue" but yet they said they will not confirm if any ship will get married or not(just BF-GF at the "present" ) as katara at 14 is too young(as I always said from many months ago) to get married

    score card about "marriage age" as Yue established 16 as age of official engagement(and probably marriage)

    June old enuff, probably over 20
    Zuko "barely old enuff" at 16/16.5
    mai "slightly too young" at 15.5
    Ty lee too young at 14/15
    sokka too young at 15/15.5
    Suki probably 15 too young
    Azula too young at 14/15
    Katara too young at 14
    toph too young at 12/12.5
    Aang too young at 12.5/13(at end of the book, at final battle he is 12.5)
    Teo too young 13
    Duke too young 8
    Haru I think slightly younger than Zuko, might be older than Sokka, so there is a chance he is old enough

    actually I thought at first mai was slightly younger, she was a "classmate" of Azula at the Royal Fire Academy for Girls, but the avatar wikia says she is about one year older than Azula. in the "zuko alone scenes" she was 9 and zuko was almost 10(if not 10)

    unwritten rule number one of Bryke

    "never put as long as possible(until the finale)any confirmation about kataang-zutara issue, or any ship DIRECTLY affecting it" (that includes maizu/maiko)

    that is why Bryke didn't put any outright confirmation that he loves mai, only that she was his GF, and that he hated leaving her, but didn't want her to be considered a traitor if she chose to come with him.
