Omg yes, I hate them all. I hate zutarian whiners, and Kataang bashers. And vice versa.

You know that girl who made those actually decent zutara evidence videos on youtube? (ok, so some of the first ones are just silly and there for the laughs, but some of them are actually pretty good) Well, some 13-year-old kataanger sent her friend (the other half of the videos) this email basically bashing her and telling her to give up, because if she did, then other zutarians would fall too and the stupid ship would be over with.

I laughed. A lot. Mostly because they said they weren't a kid, yet they were only 13. And because they actually thought they could get rid of us because one person got sad? HA! (Besides, she actually got very shaky about zutara before, when 3 other main zutarians got really upset, and we were still going strong. Silly kataanger

)

Zutarians don't give up so easily! We never stay dead! Zutara will live on forever, even if Katara and Aang grow old together and have many many children

Why? Because we like our ship. Most of us support it regardless of what we think its chances are. Which is why we can have some pretty damn awesome fanart - fanart isn't about who "wins", its about liking something enough to do a really amazing tribute to it. After all, if you can't see the potential of something/dont like it, you usually cant do justice to it in a fanart, because you see no real reason to put the effort in.

Sadly, thats why I don't like some (note that I said some, not all) Kataangers. You can tell some of them only ship it because its "canon", not because they actually like it. They never try to argue why its going to happen, because its just "so obvious" (which sounds like something a parent says. "Why is it like that Daddy?" "Because I said so, thats why"). They don't have the passion to see beyond the show and really look at why their ship is awesome. Which really annoys me, because there's no point debating with these people, lol.

Thats why the ship is slightly degraded sometimes, because of these silly people who just try to drag zutarians down because zutarians dont ship their ship. Still, there are some pretty awesome kataangers to balance it out, so its bearable

Zutarians and Kataangers unite! Down with stupid whiny shippers!

Yeah... the latest one isn't that good. I'm not a fan of the similarities argument. Mike and Bryan love doing parallel opposites.
Lesson 11 was pretty good. Although, lesson 9 has been the best so far. Watch lesson 9 all the way to the end and you'll see why it is awesome.

Some arguments are really actually pretty good and make a point. Other videos are kind of... yeesh (like the one about the chibi shorts pointing to canon -- they're fanservice for crying out loud!).

AnimeAngel: I ship Kataang not only because I see it as realistic, but because I love Aang and Katara together. The idea of them together makes me warm and fuzzy inside. (I tend to be sappy. Don't judge me. ) But I don't watch the series just for shipping. In fact that is one of my least favorite reasons to watch Avatar. I can't stand the shippers who freak out and boycott the show just because their ship doesn't happen. I hate the people who say "Mike and Bryan suck cuz they didn't do Zutara." Don't blame the writers! They're awesome!

To DeeDuck33: Ooh, I like you then! You're not one of the crazies! lol. But yes, Katara and Aang are quite cute. The hero gets the girl? Romantic! (and yes, I'm a bit of a sap too, so no judgement here, lol). And yes, I admit to squeeing slightly when Katara and Aang kissed in DOBS *shame* It was just so unexpected and all......However, this was before I became a hardcore zutarian, so I should be forgiven

And I admit I do sometimes watch the series for shipping, but most of the time, I watch the episodes for themselves, and later analyse them for shipping, or squee over little shipping-related things later on, after watching the awesomeness of the whole episode . An example of how much I love the show and not the shipping is how loudly I squealed when Zuko said Sokka's name in BR, lol. I was just so happy he finally called a gaang member by name.......I'm so pathetic

I also admit to being slightly angry with Bryke over the no zutara thing, but then I realised that that was stupid -over-the-top-fangirl coming out and completely forgave them (cause after all, the show is still pretty damn awesome ), and also that even if it does end in Kataang, we'll still get some lovely zutara moments anyway. Like the hug, the ninja mission, and other little bonding moments. Sure, it might not end in a kiss, but I'll be happy with lots of little moments like that if it doesn't actually end in zutara ^_^ Go romantic moments and ships! ^_^

I like Kataang, because...yeah, there are just some ships that make me feel like all tingly inside! I sound so weird... Zutara seems weird to me. I like hero gets the girl relationships, or heroine gets the guy.

I ship Zutara because since this series is so diffrent from other shows, I thought I could be diffrent and not ship Kataang, but ship the one I think would make a better story

I ship Zutara becasue they match with eachother more.
If Aang wants love he should find someone in his own age and size - like Toph!
I love Zuko and Katara and i know they were not ment to be, but I like forbidden love more than that the girl is 2 years older and 30 cm longer than the guy!
