No, I could say the same for Zutara and it looks that way in the show. |
And I could say Katokka because they have about the same amount of evidence/likelyhood.
Nickelodeon (ended 2008)

But it feels so right. |

In the show, as far as we have seen? No. In a trailer, where the only things that was relevant were two three-second clips, taken completely out of context? Sure. |

Incorrect. She said "a very powerful bender." Which is something no one in the series has been called, besides her mystery future husband. |
I doubt anyone is more powerful than the Avatar, so do you really think someone else will claim the title "very powerful bender"? If Sokka had said "Aang is a very powerful bender," then it would have been way too obvious.
EDIT: now I won't deny that there are other powerful benders on the show. But, if there was a person more powerful than Aang, the world would be imbalanced.
O.k. Lets do a break-down of the trailer kiss.
First, Katara seems to kind of close her eyes and accept it. Then she gets a sudden shock and immediately pulls back. It might appear that the sudden shock is "OMG, this kid is 12." or "no, I love Zuko" or "I definitely don't feel that way about Aang." However, out of context we have no idea what the real reason was. I think we'll have to wait and see the episode ourselves.

She does not close her eyes. They momentarily narrow. You could just as easily contribute it to annimation and coloring error. This isn't up for debate. The DoBS kiss was a debate, this is straw-clutching.

Sigh. I seriously doubt Sokka would have said what he said (and gotten the reaction that he did) if they were referring to Zuko. And seriously, ''a very powerful bender''? I really don't see that meaning Zuko. Saying Zuko could be considered ''a very powerful bender'' means that so could most of the protagonists in the show. Aang is the only one who stands out enough. |
You are missing the forest for the trees, like everyone else does. It's not about who is a very powerful bender, half the cast is that. The matter is that NO ONE HAS BEEN CALLED THAT. Spirit, mortal, animal, human, dead, alive, woman, man, old, young, evil, or good, no one and no thing has been referred to as "a very powerful bender" through out the whole series except for Katara's mystery future husband.
Now, ask yourself, "Why don't the writers call anyone or anything that?" It's got to be one of the easiest fill-in-the-blank adjectives for so many characters. They'd have to go out of their way to not call someone that.

My sister made a great point. She said that the ember island players episode will be the one where Aang and Katara kiss. If you look closely, when they show an airel vision of the theature, there is a full moon. When Aang and Katara kiss there is a full moon. Sokka said the play features "singing nomads and the agng enters the heart of Ba Sing Se" so that means the play will feature season two. It probably shows Aang trying to open the chakras, and Katara learns that she was the reason he couldn't master the avatar state. They were probably talking when he kisses her and she backs away siince she doesn't want to be the reason he doesn't save the world. |
