'The Library' refers to the Library of Congress! There is some evidence...

Well it was really based on the Library of Alexandria. Or the idea of it. Being the Library of Alexandria had tons of knowledge from the old world. But it was all lost when it was burned to the ground. Had the Library of Alexandria never been burned down we would have been WAY more advanced then we are now. It had everything from the Antikythera mechanism to the Aeolipile or a early steam engine. Some people speculate that had this place not been destroyed the world would be somewhere to a thousand years more advanced, being people would have built upon these early ideas.

But to back up your owl thing and the Wan Shi Tong idea here is a picture.

Some people big on conspiracies think this has to do with the Freemasons ruling the world, or something. But that is for another time.?? ??

Okay, I honestly don't think Wan Shi Tong's name has anything to do with it.

??That was taken directly from the nick website. Wan Shi Tong is a chinese pharse; not some clever word made by the creators to sound like Washington

Only the makers of the show really know if they ment it or not.
I mean they could have named it something else.
