I think almost everyone agrees with me when i say that Iroh will be involved a lot more with the gAang, maybe he'll even teach Aang firebending! As u all know, Iroh is a trusted member of the White Lotus organisation. And now BSS (the last hope for a REAL alliance and assistance to infiltrate the FN) has been taken over, this White Lotus group could be the last hope for them.

The White Lotus hasnt been made up by the writers. here's some info abaout it:

Chinese anti-Manchu uprising that occurred during the Ch'ing dynasty. It broke out (1796) among impoverished settlers in the mountainous region that separates Sichuan prov. from Hubei and Shaanxi provs. It apparently began as a tax protest led by the White Lotus Society, a secret religious society that forecast the advent of the Buddha, advocated restoration of the native Chinese Ming dynasty, and promised personal salvation to its followers. At first the Ch'ing administration, under the control of Ho-shen, sent inadequate and inefficient imperial forces to suppress the ill-organized rebels. On assuming effective power in 1799, however, Emperor Chia Ch'ing (reigned 1796???1820) overthrew the Ho-shen clique and gave support to the efforts of the more vigorous Manchu commanders as a way of restoring discipline and morale. A systematic program of pacification followed in which the populace was resettled in hundreds of stockaded villages and organized into militia. In its last stage, the Ch'ing suppression policy combined pursuit and extermination of rebel guerrilla bands with a program of amnesty for deserters. Although the Manchu finally crushed (1804) the rebellion, the myth of the military invincibility of the Manchu was shattered, perhaps contributing to the greater frequency of rebellions in the 19th cent.

as u can see, theres a lot in common between the real White Lotus and the White Lotus in ATLA. its both a??secret??society, and they are both fighting against the??suppression of their authorities. the real White Lotus almost defeated the Chinese army's, and made a serious chance to overthrow the emperor. what about the people in ATLA? also dont forget that the real leader of the White Lotus rebellion was actually a women (a great fighter btw), doesnt that ring a bell? remember the mother of Zuko... there have been a lot of threads already??about this mother who would be a member of the White Lotus. What if she would be the LEADER? i know this is all speculation, but if this is true, the chance is very big that she's still alive and that the gAang together with Iroh, will get the support of the White Lotus in order to stop the war.

like i said, its just speculation... but i have been right about somethings before () and if the writers wanna put the real history of The White Lotus in their story, something like this has to happen. also its very hard for me to believe that such an important society wont take a more important role in ATLA. i mean, what better place is there to go if ur not safe anywhere then the White Lotus? i think Iroh will talk with the gAang again (maybe he'll be rescued by ang, or he'll break out by himself, or maybe Long Feng will help him escape), and im sure he'll recomment to arrange a meeting in this society to help them then.

I was actually hoping they would give the white lotus society a bigger role in season three. But i doubt that Ursa is their leader. Why wouldn't Iroh tell Zuko that then? Anyhoo, now that BSS has fallen I think the gAang will have to look for help in others places like the white lotus society.
