Okay people, I was convinced that that was the end of Avatar, that Sozin's Comet special- until Zuko visits his father in the prison.
Zuko asks his father what happened to his mother. And they never tell us. It just seems unlikely for the producers to leave something like that to the imagination. So... is there going to be ANY more episodes of Avatar?
Speculations are welcome, but I'm looking for proof of it continuing or stopping, based on interviews, etc. .
Also, my brother metioned the lack of a book of Air. He believes that they wouldn't just leave out the last element, and that it doesn't matter if Aang already knows air bending. Anyone agree/disagree?
And finally... what is this about an Avatar spinoff with a new cast of characters? I heard it from a most unreliable source, but who knows. It may have some truth to it...?

I don't know man. It's hard to say. I hate to see it end but I think that unless they come up with a new interesting plot it could work but I doubt it so I think it's gonna end here. I don't want it to end but I think it is.

about having a fourth book besides having the plot for Aang just ending..it's not really about Aang already knowing airbending, it's more about him being the LAST AIRBENDER. So that's why there was never going to be a fourth book.

I'm pretty sure Avatar -- at least the Avatar we know -- is over. It's been confirmed by the creators that there are only three seasons, and that's it. There have been rumors of a spin-off, and a movie trilogy based on the series is going to begin in 2010. That's pretty much all we know right now.

To He!! with a season 4, IMO they should make mini movies filling us with the cliff hangers. because if they'd go by seasons we already know what nick will do. so a 2 hour movie(s) will make it for enjoyable. Or they could go strait to DVD, Its an End of an Era, but a new one has just begun.
