Not sure if anyone has mentioned this speculation.

With Iroh and Zuko moving on up like the Jeffersons.

I have a feeling some really high ranking officials will visit the (Jasmine Dragon) Iroh's Tea shop, and recognize the Dragon of the West.

this seems very possible to me, because BSS seems to be very status orientated, and the new hip spot gets all the celebrities.??

Picturing a retired general enjoying some tea as Iroh pours a cup, the steam reminds the man of smoke and flames, and has a flash back of iroh laying siege, and the man Surrendering the sword that Iroh gave to zuko.

Well even if they are firebenders they can't take action into there own hands cause of the Dai Li besides Iroh is a master of disguise the dragon of the west looks way different than Santa

I have thought about it, about around the Drill, but I agree with what the Colonel said.

That is a great theory. It makes sense and could definitely happen. I totally agree

We are ALL waiting for when Ba Sing Se realize who exactly is in their city. Good lord, it would be like Bin Laden for USA citizens.

I would have thought someone would have noticed Iroh was the Dragon of the West that layed siege, by now. But I guess nobody remembers, maybe the Upper Class citizens recall because they were involved.
Now it's like firemen trying to search for fire after driving by a 2-acre field on fire..

Fireman: WHERE'S THE FIRE? WHERE? WHERE? WHERE?!?!?

Yes, it will happen some day. And, with book three, FIRE, notice the word FIRE is in CAPITALs, I believe that Iroh and Zuko will go to the Fire Nation. The would go there because they would get kicked out of Ba Sing Sei. You heard Iroh in LAKE LAOGAI, he said they would have a chance for a new life. Iroh does not have any intent on leave BSS. He got a new tea shop! But anyway, because they would get kicked out of the city, they would have no where to go. Zuko would get his whole 'Capturing the Avatar' scheme back on, and they would follow him into the Fire Nation. Think about it, in each of the books so far, Zuko and Iroh have been in each of the nations. In book one, Water, they went to the South Pole, and the North Pole. In book two, Earth, they have been in many Earth Kingdom towns, including BSS. It would make sense that they would go to the FN in the next book. What would they do with Zuko and Iroh? Kill them? I think not. Continue with some other plot to take them somewhere in the end that has nothing to do with the Avatar? I think not. The only logical answer would be that they would either leave BSS, (highly unlikely) or get kicked out. That's just my two cents. (Sorry for going on a tangent, but it does have something to do with the tea shop thing.)

    I think

Zuko and Iroh get kicked out of BSS.

They run into the GAang, and Zuko's all "I don't want to have anything to do with you."

The two groups hook up (maybe after Azula attacks again)

Dude it is totally possible, but I wouldn't equate it to Bin Laden serving tea in the US like someone did.
I don't think everyone in Ba Sing Se knows what Iroh looks like, after all they don't have television like we do. Also he was an in-field commander, not a mastermind leader like bin laden. Also bin laden would of course stand out in the us with his unique beard, language and hat. Iroh is normal having a beard, his language is indiscernable from EK language, and he has no unique clothing like a turban or anything. I doubt he will be identified for a very long time.

Lmao. As an American I should be like, "No! DOn't joke like that!"

But as a teen currently angry at the government (and one that really isn't serious enough to give a hoot about that comment)

That was effin hilarious to me.

    And so true.

But how could anyone prove it if he doesn't firebend?

well if you found Bin Laden, would you have to wait for him to fly a plane into a building to prove it was him?

Well, no one, besides the generals, the Dai Lee, and Long Feng, really knows anything about the war. Those that do might remember him as the Dragon of the West, and certainly wouldn't see him as a tea maker. It goes under the reasoning: This wasn't happening because this sort of thing did not happen. Any contraditory evidence could be safely ignored.

You're mad at the government? We have a pretty good system of government that has made it so America is the country of freedom and oppertunity it is today. I admit it's far from perfect, but it's the nation I grew up in and I'm glad to be here. I want to visit other countries someday, but it was this country that shaped me and gave my family all we know, the happy stuff and crap. This place is the culture I call my own as the Chinese praise theirs.

But I understand your anger. While your angry at the government I'm mad at the politicians. Which is why I'm heading to the voting boothes tomorrow. That's a scary thing, an eighteen-year-old who actually votes!

And I apologize for the Bin Laden comment. I thought it was a solid comparison. Iroh commited the greatest assault against Ba Sing Se has ever known, and Bin Laden plotted the most shocking attack against America years. These two were the men behind the tremendous strikes against their enemies.?? And if those people who were attacked found out the mastermind who did the ir people harm was living among them... I just wouldn't think many Earth Kingdom citizens would hold Iroh in high regard. For a lot of Westerners Bin Laden is probably evil incarnate... maybe I should quit now. I just saw the situations as being similar.
