OK, OK, I know you're all going to start screaming "DEAD HORSE" but this needs to be said: The creators have gone overboard with their mockery of the zutara shippers. I mean "Those of you who think Zuko and Katara should be together will forever have doomed relationships"?! That's not poking fun, that's a big "F**K YOU"! I mean what did they do to you other than help make your friggin show popular?! Personally, I don't think much about the ship, but that just made me lose over half of my respect for the creators. Now again, I know this is supposed to be dead horse, but please tell me I'm not the only on who feels this way.

My thoughts exactly. If the creators hated Zutara so much they wouldn't have given us so many Zutara moments within the 3 seasons.

pics or it didn't happen. The only mention of Zutara fans I've noticed was in the commentary of an episode where one of Bryke said something to the effect of "Poor Zutara fans... must hate us right now"

Yeah, seriously. Bryke was really nice about the whole thing. And they did say that they felt really bad because it was really Aang and Katara from the beginning.

Random jokes to lighten the mood (note- I make fun of Kataangers here too. I'm not trying to offend people here).

How many Zutarians does it take to screw in a light bulb?
One, but it'll be an hour before they're done proving that the burnt-out lightbulb means that Katara and Zuko are meant for each other.

I'm pretty sure it was meant to be a joke. I think the main purpose was for all those fans of the ships that didn't happen, like Zutara, Tokka, and Azulaang, to see them together unofficially, if you know what I mean. And heh funny its from night's account XD

I agree. I mean, they used other people's fan-art in that. Think of all the publicity that was for the artists. It sounds stupid, but they could put that on their job applications. That in itself shows they care about their fans.

Besides, if they were REALLY going to mock shipping, they would have been meaner in the "school time shipping" short.
