Well, let's here them. I'm curious.

Anthony Hopkins as Iroh (I don't know, Iroh would be kind of hard; I kind of based this on Hopkins in Beowulf, even though that was CGI or whatever...)

Amanda Bynes as Ty Lee (What? She's got that same bubbly personality)

Kane Hodder as Combustion Man (Do you know who Jason Voorhees is?)

Here's a wierd one: Johnny Depp as Xin Fu...

Actually that's not bad. The Johnny Depp one though, not so great. But I love the idea for Hopkins as Iroh, and Hodder as Combustion Man.
Yeah. And they're gonna get Brad Pitt as Monk Gyatso.

True...true. And Appa will talk and be voiced by Liam Neeson!

QFT! We can't expect them to hire people who like anime ('cuz that would be freaky), but they really just didn't choose a good cast. Bulma should be played by an actress of Asian (or better, Japanese) descent.

Actually there is Jonathan Nguyen is Aang and some guy named Ether Brent is Sokka.

The guy for Sokka better get a good dark tan. And fast. He'd be good if he, you know...had the same skin color as our favorite Water Tribe man!

Aang's is just...wrong. Completely wrong. I just might boycott this movie if the cast keeps sucking like this.

If you didn't see me and this other guy were discussing who WE thought could be a good cast. It may interest you, just scroll up if you'd like to see.
By the way I agree, the cast is wrong, hope it's just a rumor.

It should have been the same for Goku and some of the cast of '21'. Hollywood just thinks Asians aren't marketable. We're the 2nd least shown in film, the first being Native Americans and other indigenous peoples. I'm hoping that they actually get people of Inuit desent to play people of the water tribes and vice versa for the other characters. I'm just sick of all the Hollywierd casting.

My favorite is when they get Arabs to play Mexicans and Mexicans to play Arabs.

Well, seeing as how Goku's an alien, we really don't know which race he'd look like the most

Anyhooo, I agree with you on that. Being Latin American, I'm glad to see that we're now starting to appear a little more in films. But then I also noticed Asians are still pretty left out. And Native Americans and other indigenous peoples? Forget it. Hollywood thinks civilized society will crumble and movie-making as we know it will collapse if a pure native is ever on screen.

I was looking forward to Avatar being the first U.S.-made movie in which everyone but Caucasians are cast. I was sure they'd try hard enough to have mostly Asians, with the rest being Inuits (or Native Americans) for Katara and Sokka, Latinos with very indigenous features for the Sun Warriors, etc, etc....but they already cast the white freckled boy for Sokka. I am disappointed. I can't wait to see which blondie they'll cast for Toph. Maybe Zuko will be a red-head?

I hope none of that casting information is true

Asians ARE left out ALOT. But if you've seen Jet Li's WAR, I think you'll think differentely.

And yet half the Avatar fandom wants Zuko to be played by his 30 something voice actor.
