I've been trying to think of my favourite episode but I honestly can't think of one episode which has stood out as an outstanding episode as they are so bloody great.

I can only name a number of episodes:

The Siege of the North??for the battle element and Aang shwoing his true potential

The Cave of Two Lovers because its just ridiculously funny

Bitter Work because of Foo Foo Cuddly Poops

The Library??as it as a darker feel to it with a crazy giant owl and the abduction of Appa

Lake Laogai??this episode is a great mix of everything

    What do you think?

im thinking about ''The Blue Spirit''. i guess this is because the emotions run really deep, and Aang and Zuko fight together for the first time. they are the best fighting team till now btw.

u can clearly??see that Zuko and Aang??are thinking about the nation difference which is forcing them to be enemies of eachother at the end of this episode.

I would say Seige of the North, Lake Laogai, and Cave of Two Lovers would be my top three (or four if you count Seige as two episodes) I also like Blind Bandit a lot.

?? If you want to chose one that is really funny you should really pick The desert, because it has Sokka and his cactus juice...

But I have to agree that the Siege of the North is really one of the best episodes... or maybe Lake Laogai....

    I can't actually pick one

    ??

It's a tie between "The Blue Spirit" and "Lake Laogai" for me.

YOU DIDNT PUT ZUKO ALONE AS AN EXAMPLE!!!! ARE YOU INSANE! THAT EPISODE ALONG WITH THE STORM was amazing. This thread isnt correct, the top to me were:

    1. Seige of the North because of the death on Yue, and that it was so well done, with many elements of character depth. It was just intense, and so perfectly ended the season, it all worked so well.

    2. ZUKO ALONE!! This episode was just incredible. From the tension, to the unsolved mystery of zuko's past, this episode had it all (except for Aang gang), it was emotional, and really showed you more about Zuko's character. It also left the ending so open, people are still theorizing about it.

    3. The Storm This showed so much depth to aang and zuko and has really shaped the show in its depth, to me, this was the episode when avatar went from a good show to a GREAT show.

    4. LAKE LAOGAI because it had it all, and was emotional and a total classic. It was so satisfying and so much happened in it.

Then comes Secret of the Fire Nation, along with Bitter Work (due to Iroh's great training of Zuko and the character depth that it showed), The Deserter, THe Waterbending Master, The Avatar State, and finally Return to Omashu. Every episode has been great (other than Great Divide), and these are all classics. I think THE CROSSROADS OF DESTINY is gonna be the best, the best is yet to come folks.

Huh, haven't had one of these in a while. Let me contribute this time. In all seriousness, I find Cave of Two Lovers to be possible the best episode of the series, if not at least the second season.

*I wrote this part a while back ago so for whole??'nother reason, so??well, you'know-

"(gonna use numbers) 202- Let me tell you, I was really looking down at this ep, when I saw commercial I thought, ???Crap another Fortuneteller.??? ???Goddangit this ep surprised me in so many ways. I mean I felt that it is solid proof that not every single episode of the show has to be packed with ostentatious bending action just to be great (a common accusation of the show). I mean look at it, Aang airbended only once, he and Katara waterbened only in that first scene, a this was the start of several eps where Zuko wouldn???t bend at all, yet the episode was still amazing. The new lovable characters (played that song over and over again), the presentation of the background info (the two lovers, earthbending origins, Omashu) and to top it all off, the new animals. Comon you know if every ep (???short for episode) was packed with nothing but action it would turn to crap, just look at the Drill (get to that later). Though brief, I was very drawn to Zuko and Iroh???s story (this was before they turned them into 2/3 of the three stooges) especially the ending (he wasn???t quite there yet now was he?). And the twist? Comon I know its not Lost worthy or somethin but who truly saw it coming for sure?"

    ...Yeah.

Yeah i enjoyed Zuko Alone aswell up until the point he fought the main bully - who wasnt even a proper earth bender,??but Zuko (the blue spirit and master swordsman) couldnt defeat him without using fire bending which was a bit weak for me as it showed he had to try and wasnt quite as smooth as he at first appeared to be.
