| Giant Serpant - Appearing in the episode "The Serpent's Pass," it is a gigantic green serpent with fins on it's back inhabiting the waters around the Serpent's Pass. It has a long mouth with very long tounge and red eyes. It has two whiskers on either side of its nose, and fins on either side of it's head. It attacks anything coming into the water it inhabits, and somewhat resembles the Unagi. |

Characters:
Monk, Gyatso: A hundred years ago, Monk Gyatso was a teacher and also a father figure to Aang in the Southern Air Temple. Although he was the Avatar, Gyatso believed Aang should grow up as a normal boy. Monk Gyatso was also a very good baker.??After Aang ran away, the firebenders attacked the temple and murdered Gyatso. However, a statue of Monk Gyatso still stands there.
Personality: Gyatso was a very wise, kind, and caring man. Instead of training, he preferred to play games and have fun. He was good-natured but at times stubborn and stood by what he believed in. Gyatso was also a good advisor.
Description: Gyatso is bald and like Aang, he has tattoos in the same places on his body. He has a white moustache and a long orange and yellow robe. He also wears a necklace of beads and attached to it is a wooden pendant with the airbending sign.
First Episode Appearance: The Southern Air Temple (Flashback, Book 1: Chapter 3)
Powers: Gyatso is a master airbender.
Relationships: Gyatso is a monk at the Southern Air Temple and a mentor, friend, and father figure to Aang.
