I do support using the official threads, but they get too long and not everyone will see your question/opinion. So support new threads every once in a while.

Repeated threads take up space and are messy. That's why we have officials which are stuck at the top of the board for all to see and organized and can be for everyone to come and chat on a wide topic; such as relationships or to ask questions where everyone can come and answer. And this thread will be locked just like all the new repeated threads.

Dude, its not like you have to read the whole thing, all anyone ever focuses on is the last couple of pages, which are usually the most relevant. I don't know why everyone has to be all "Comon guys it took me 2 whole minutes to make this thread, I deserve attention." Maybe its why I've never made, started, whatever a thread. Plus if it makes ya feel better, if you've noticed, the pinned thread haven't been very active for the past couple weeks. ...Yeah.

The whole point of threads is to find answers to questions: one thread that answers all questions is difficult to search through because it becomes very long, this could be solved with a thread search tool. Many and many threads that answer individual question would work great if there was a working search tool for a forum. Enforcing mergers of repeated topic threads would also deal with the repeated thread problem. All of this though requires tools that the forum engine that TV.com uses does not seem to have. So basically we are screwed. The answer that the addict hardcore users and moderators seem to have formed is the all-in-one-thread concept to save space and constant thread locking to stop duplication, unfortunately few seem to have learned.

New threads for theories, games, even characters (as long as they have not already been made) are fine. I too support new threads. In fact I spent like an hour the other day deleting old threads (and working on a collaboration of important threads). But you can save TV.com some space if you just use the threads pinned on the top of the page. There's always one for speculation/discussion of the most recent/to-be-aired episode, the official relationship thread (where you can obviously discuss your obsessions with shipping - and debate which ones are even logical), the spoilers and specularion thread where users who crave spoilers can post them at will (as long as they're legal) and the Ask a Question thread is just to prevent "How old is Aang"-ish threads.

Let me make a suggestion, and I hope you're all listening. I would actually prefer if you started new threads for speculation and theories. While there is a pinned thread "Spoilers and Speculation", many people don't use it because of the clear word "Spoilers." Therefore you may not generate as much debate as if you would in making a new thread.

Hope this helps clear things up. I'm just trying to run this forum as I see best.
