Did anyone else notice that after the ball had been kicked,??by the earthbending kids,??through the window in Irohs's tale that his voice had changed and then went back to normal after that. I can only guess that this one part was going to be recorded for the episode but since Mako died they had to fill it in with a crappy imitation. It said "In Honor Of Mako," so will be the last episode we hear his unforgettable voice? I sincerely hope not. Though they might have prerecorded some later episodes but thats just me hoping.

Yeah, i just watched it. It was entirely different. This was probably a later added scene.

I'm pretty sure it was. That way, it won't sound like the new voice just jumped in out of nowhere. A lot of fans would be angry about that, so the show is going to slowly put the new voice in so we get used to it. I, personally, am not to keen on the voice (yet, I might add) also, this thread has already been posted by someone else. Please check next time,??slyslim, so there are no duplicate threads. Thank you??

Chances are they had all the voice work done but that scenes voice work didnt turn out up to the right quality so they had to rerecord. Or maybe they are testing out his new VA?

I noticed the change in voices but just figured??that it was a new voice actor but then??the voice changed back when Iroh setup the??memorial for his son under the tree. So it could be??like previously stated that??a new actor was being teated because the first recording didn't come out right.??

I don't think that that voice sounds at all like Mako. (the guy who voiced Iroh) You'd think that they could find someone who sounds kind of like him, don't you?

well, if you compare some voice replacements in other shows (sorry, can't think of one right now) it is utterly obvious that the voice is COMPLETELY different. but, in this one, although you can tell the voice is different, it sounds a lot like him. It's just a bit higher pitched and has more of a Russian accent, I think. Although, i would have preferred one with a Japanese accent like Mako's. oh, well

    A tribute to Mako

    Makato Iwamatsu

    1933 - 2006

    Beloved Actor, Father, and Husband

    We will remember you.

    Leaves from the vine,

    Falling so slow,

    Like fragile, tiny shells,

    Drifting in the foam,

    Little soldier boy,

    Come marching home,

    Brave soldier boy,

    Comes marching home.

Copy, paste, send it to all your friends, pass it on.?? Post anything you'd like to say about Mako, memorials, tributes, etc.

The new VA is okay, he sounds a bit Russian, but he can never replace Mako.
