Who else thinks that Avatar should not be stretched out too much and have one season too many? I definitely don't want Avatar to end up like The Simpsons or anything. I think they should just end the show when and how they planned to and not add more seasons just to please fans. They should just finish Avatar and then come up with a completely new??series that has many things similar to it. Especially the martial arts. How else agrees with me?

If they can come up with a REASONABLE extra season instead of stopping at season 3, I'll be fine with...umm whatever

honestly, if they twist the plot around and don't have the firelord defeated by the end of season 3, I wouldn't mind seeing avatar become 4 seasons with the 4th season actually the war with the comet around.

i agree, the plot that they have can easily be stretched into two more seasons and still be awesome a fourth season would be nice, otherwise if season 3 is the last,??next year at this time??avatar will all be over, which is a sad thought.

You could have revived a thread about this but who cares? Anyway I agree and have been saying this for some time. Reasonable you say? Almost all sequels are poorly or poorer done then the original.

This is why we are not recommending a sequel, merely the plot stretch so the firelord is defeated during Book 4:Air

No, look at Genndy Tartavosky with Dexter than to Samurai Jack and then to Star Wars Clone Wars. I'm pretty sure the Avatar team is as good as his so they should have no problems with doing new cartoons.

They should make it so that it follows the plot, but stretch it out enough so that we find out if there are any Air Nomads left in the world.?? Also, they need to work just a bit more on character development for all of the shippings for all the characters.?? But as long as they don't go off subject, then I think that Avatar should have more seasons.

I know what we need here: SPINOFFS! Jk. I made a thread abotu this before where I put up some ideas for Avatar spinoffs, the most popular one being a spinoff about the lives of previous Avatars if memory serves correctly (That was also the one I didn't come up with). However, it was decided that too many spinoffs would cheapen the integrity of the show and that they should onyl be made if they were atleast as good as ATLA.

I would like a series that tells what happened in the 100 years Aang was missing. It could be set between four different people from the Nations and each season would be their side of the story and what happened.

I dont think there is going to be a book of Air and besides Aang already knows how to air bend!

Thank you. There's no way that the Avatar team won't do good with shows after Avatar so they need to focus on that and not stretch out ATLA.

I would personally like to see a "before and after" type thing.
    Anyone agree?

Don't watch too many cartoons nowadays. Also, I am the type that likes a good, entertaining story, with a nice and unexpected finish. With that said, I also don't like a story that continues indefinately always ending in bizarre places to keep you watching for years. Avatar is a different sort of show then most. It is more like a long movie, it would loose some of it's charm, in my opinion, if the creators kept creating more and more side plots to keep the show going no matter how well it was done. Just my ideas.

I wish Genndy Tartakovsky would do some more work. I like his style and work. But I guess I have to wait for Korgoth of Barbaria to become a show.
