That's pretty unlikely. The Northern Water Tribe has stayed out of the war, and the Southern Tribe had all of it's waterbenders killed before the warriors went to help.

You are probably right. It probably a simple a - hole, whoever the killer was part of a group that attacked a Water Tribe village felts with nothing by civilans.

But I like the idea of the killer being more than just a one dimentional evil villain, that is what makes Avatar so great.

yes nut theres no indication in hamma's story (which is the one i believe you're refferring to) of when the killers of the southern water tribes benders' came.

Well it happened when Hamma and Gran Gran were young, which was looked to be before Hakoda was born. And seeing as the water tribe warriors only left when Sokka was like 8, there weren't full groups of waterbenders out fighting the war for this guy to be pissed at.

And I agree with privious people that the guy Katara's looking for will probably turn out to have a good reason/has changed his ways. Because there's no way Nick is going to let Katara murder someone in cold blood.

what i think is the probable SR plot

Chit Sang ends up being one of the members of the SR, and gives the gaang clues of who the leader is, and along with that, hakoda also speaks; giving us flashbacks of the time Sokka and Kat were kids, and their mother killed, than suddenly Azula appears, attacking the gaang. during the fight both Azula and Zuko fall, and Zuko gets saved by Aang, katara and appa as shown in the trailer, Azula is barely able to save herself with her "rocket ability"

Chit, Hakoda and the 3 stooges are able to escape in a blimp, and goes a separate way than the gaang(including Suki now), and the gaang go to find June so she can track the SR leader, than Zuko and Katara find the SR leader

ok guys, 316 IS NOT THE NINJA MISSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is supposed to be about Katara and Sokka's father telling them about their mother. If that is true, there's no possible way that its the Ninja mission, there wouldn't be enough time for that. okay? There are SOOOO many screenshots from that mission, too many and not enough time.

I'm thinking the balloon part- where azula and zuko fall is definitely in 316, probably at the end- seeing as it appears to seperate the main gang(including Sukki and Zuko) from the father and the duke and them, seeing as they are not in the Ember Island Players, but I believe that the ninja part is definitely part of the 4 part finale. Trust me, I wish it was coming up really soon and had its own episode too but it doesnt, okay.

so you saying the hug is not until the finale unless it was after the rescue of Zuko as katara was glad Aang, appa and her were able to save him?

    That's a valid theory.

So the ninja mission would be around 318, right? Its an untitled episode, part of the 4 part finale... ****c signs of awesome...

A pre-finale ninja mission win is fine for me.

They could fit the Zu battle in somewhere, but the thing is Avatar is known for its coherent episodes, meaning they stick with a theme or central idea throughout an episode. Going from flashbacks about the Kas to an action sequence with the Zus isn't what I would call a fluid transition.

Plus, we know they have to confront the momkiller sometime this season, and it would kind of make sense to do it during the flashback episode. It's also a perfect moment for some Kat and Zuk bonding and after the ordeal is all said and done they hug.

So they could fit the battle in there, but I have my doubts.

some think since it is about kat's mom, and bryke loves parallel stories. the "hit the mirror with my brush" azula might be in this episode

I don't think it would be after saving him, but its possible the hug might be after the whole mother story. I'd have to look at the screenshot when they hug to check the background (and see if it looks WATish), but otherwise I'm pretty sure all the zuko-katara happens/starts in the first of the 4 part finale, which I don't want, but I don't see it happening any other way, there's simply not enough time. Maybe something happens at the end of Ember Island players that is cause for the temporary seperation of the gang and that continues into the 4 part or something. I don't know. All I know is that I'm not thinking the ninja scene would ever fit in episode 316.

As much as I love Azula, I don't think she fits into this episode. You might see Azula starring in a B plot in Ember Island Players, but that is remote. Azula won't appear until the finale.

I think it is possible the killer has changed his ways, and actully has kids. And if so, the gAang might meet the kid first and make friends with him or her before they meet the killer.

Didn't Bryke confirm at comic con that The Southern Raiders would be about Katara/Sokka's mom and it would include the ninja mission?

Or was that just a fan theory?

I think it's highly possible Jeong Jeong will come back. They hinted at it heavily in "*WAT"

No, I think it's a fan-theory. They did say we would learn about more about the Raid, but I don't think they said in what episode.

the fall of Zuko looks like WAT, no chance of they returning to BR, otherwise we saying either they rescue Mai and Ty Lee, or they seek the leader of the SR who happens to be in BR; and all of us are assuming Azula was in the blimps, and she fell along with Zuko, or should we think it is not Azula? it might be a soldier with the skull mask?
