    That right Iroh was in fact naked and no one called that "praising him" or "too much attention", and I'm sure that was fan service for someone: maybe a female or gay viewer in there 60's.

    I do sometimes think they can praise Katara too much and make her too perfect, but I like her.

    I think some people dislike Katara for the same reasons Sam on Danny Phantom is disliked: they're good at a lot of things and sometimes overshadow other people (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). I'm netrual about Katara. I don't really dislike Katara, but I do think that she became a master a little too quick. Even if she was there for a month, remember that Azula's trained for years and she's still not a master, while Katara's been training for a much shorter time.

    -freed Aang from the iceburg
    -saved Aang from the Unagi
    -not going crazy when everyone had lost it while being stuck in the desert
    -stopped Aang's avatar spirit from pwning everyone/everything around him
    -inspired earthbenders to fight back

    If that's not enough to deserve at least a pat on the back, I don't know what is.

    That's the point. Notice how Sokka and Toph didn't do these great things, Katara did. Notice how Aang didn't ecourage the revolution in Improsined. Almost every good, inspirable thing done in the show as by Katara.

    I'm really sorry, but I don't see how Katara swimming is considered "Giving Praise". I swim all the time, and I'm sure you all do. It was just a scene that the creators added in there. It might even turn out to be inportant. Most everything in Avatar has a purpose. Please, lets not blow it outta proportion until we see the movie.
