Toph. Way too young, it's her first crush. He's one of the few people who treat her as a regular person and skilled warrior. He looked beyond her handicap.
Ty Lee. Too dependent. Sokka like girls who independent and stand up for themselves.
Mai. Too Moody. Sokka goes for the ones that stand out, not stay in the back.
Yue. She's dead, Jim. She became part of the spiritual world. Unless he crosses over, not likely to rekindle their romance.
Suki. Too Independent. She's likely to be a??crucial part of the rebuilding of the Earth Kingdom following the war. And Sokka will likely be with the Avatar still, or with his people.
So far it looks and feels like Suki will be his main squeeze. Though ...

Look at the girls he likes. He likes a girl who is a skilled fighter, Suki. The type who can push him to become more. He likes a girl-ly girl, Ty Lee. (Hehe, Girl-lee, Ty Lee, Hehe) The kind who likes the dramatic flares. He likes a girl who is like a princess, Yue. The kind of princess that is well educated, commanding, and of a worldly nature.
All that can be applied to Azula. She's a??top fighter, likes dramatic flares (though on the dark side), and is a full blown princess.

Ah, once the Fire Lord is defeated, she'll be a outcast. Who better then Sokka to be with her after that, and help her make a new life for herself. Only someone like Sokka could see beyond her appearance and see her inner sides, like he did with Toph. Azula doesn't need a protector, just someone to stand beside her and provide comfort. (Which is the way Sokka is)

That's right! I am InsaneRaden, author of 'The Pain of Nothing'! Never insult Jet OR Tai-Lee again, they both have incredible room for emotional growth and are great characters. Sokka and Toph is NOT, I repeat, NOT a sick pairing. Three years is nothing. When Sokka is 21, Toph will be18 and that's not much difference. But however it pains me to say it, Suki is the one who will end up with Sokka. The show has advanced that romance more than anything beside Kataang and they will love each other till the end of their days if one of them isn't killed. I just had a sad thought, what if Sokka dies? BOOH-HOOH, sniff sniff. That'd be great because if they pull it off right, he would become a defining part of the show's drama. It'd still suck bad though. PS I am a dedicated Tokka fan. |
