Skipping Bato of the Water Tribe? or whatever it's called, they can't do that! I missed practically the entire first season! I NEED TO SEE ALL THESE RERUNS! Now I'm not to happy about this smilebender week, I think I like tonguebender better, and whoever said they're smoking crack might actually be right.

Bitter Work was not funny...No offense. Sokka's part was cute and all--but Toph taught and yelled at Aang; Uncle Iroh taught Zuko about diversity, I don't see how that's funny.

Nick is getting very desperate for ratings. First they make normal episodes into TV movies like "The Fury of Aang", "Secret of the Fire Nation", and even DP with "Phantom Phreeze" which is actually "Urban Jungle". And now they make this so called marathon thing. Nick doesn't need these specials and TV movies. They just need to help FOP, Spongebob, and cancel their cr*pp* new shows, minus Avatar of course.

    'Twasn't it Phantom Phreeze, lol.

    But back on topic...

Honestly, I think this whole 'Smilebender Week' is a waste of time.

Wow, then they might have to put Avatar on 24 hours a day

I'm not saying that I don't like this Smilebender Week thing, as stupid as it is. But some of the episodes don't even entirely focus on humour or jokes. They have "The Cave of Two Lovers" and "Bitter Work". Neither of which focused on humour (besides Sokka).

Yeah Nick's marketing department messed up there. Of anything "Bitter Work" should be replaced with "The Desert" or "Avatar Day." I can't fathom why those episodes aren't in this special "Smilebender week." BTW, that name really sucks. The creators should complain Nick has become too G A Y. WTF is a Smilebender? They're ruining the show by creating the stupidest "puns." First there's Wordbender for the Nick.com ATLA word search, now smilebender? I could fathom how you could "bend" or "manipulate" words (which BTW you don't manipulate words in a word search you find them, so Nick is just being stupid there) but how in the world would you bend smiles? You obviously can change the expression on your face from smile to frown, but come on? There's no way to manipulate a smile. It's either a smile or it's not, there's no if's, and's, or but's about it. I swear, Nick is going to make this entire next generation g@y.

It's funny when fans create different pointless bendings (such as genderbending) online, but its taking it to the extreme when the actual network advertises something such as "Smilebending." It's frankly an insult to everyone, especially little kids.

Well now my insane rant for the day is over.

Lol, genderbending, I've never heard that one before, that's classic.

    But back??on topic---

Yah, I guess it's safe to say that ATLA is the only thing??keeping Nick going. I even hate that dumb voice that announced it, and all because of a stupid idea. Too bad Avatar's creators are under contract, because now they have to stay with one of the worst networks out there.

Anyone happen to know an e-mail address to Nick? I wanna give 'em a piece of my mind.

Actually its just their marketing schemes. SotFN was always planned by the creators to be a one-hour event, while TFoA was not. They advertised "Phantom Phreeze" as a "TV event," not a TV movie, since it was only a half-hour in length.

They try to hype certain things up. I already have confirmation there will be at least one hour-long/two-episode combo, POSSIBLY a second before the finale.

Anyway, Nick gets their highly-paid marketing execs together in one room and they figure out what titles will intrigue kids more to watch. So they create "TV movies" and "TV events" and sometimes even stuff on their site (like a game) and maybe some other promotional materials (such as BK Avatar toys) and hype it up so millions will tune in.

Sad thing is, Spongebob on Saturday and Sunday mornings grabs 4 million viewers. How insane is that? And they don't even promote it AT ALL.

That is so messed up. I think what they do is show their bad??shows more and their and thier good shows??less. I guess they figure??since??everyone is gonna watch their good shows anyway, there's no point??showing them all the time. And??since??less people watch their??bad shows, they show them more, so??thier more likely to be seen. That way the ratings are good all round.??

If they MUST have something like that, couldn't they have just shown funny clips scattered throught the week. Why just show random eppisodes? It makes no sense!

Yeah well that's Nick for ya. When I first heard of this thing I thought it would just be clips, but later I found out it was actual episodes. When you get down to it "The Warriors of Kyoshi" is not that funny of an episode, besides Aang with his fans and the foamy guy. Zuko almost burned the city to the ground and Aang saved the day. Katara saved Aang's life, he could have drowned, or been eaten.

I'd say "King of Omashu", "Avatar Day", and "The Cave of Two Lovers" are the only great comical episodes, although "The Desert" would get consideration, although Aang did get quite angry, and that's not funny unless your sick. Heck even "The Swamp" was funnier to a point than "Bitter Work." What kind of crap is Nick trying to pull? Clips during the regularly-scheduled Avatar eps would do perfectly fine.

Yeah I agree, I wished they decided to do that instead. Like during the commercials...

I've just checked the schedule for this week when Smilebender week is supposed to occur and its "The Fortuneteller", "Bato of the Water Tribe", "The Deserter", "The Northern Air Temple", and "The Waterbending Master". None of which were the supposed Smilebender episodes. So it seems that Smilebender week is not going to happen.??
