This show deserves at least TV G, being thew most violent non-anime kids show I've pretty ever seen...

I think it would not make much of a diffrence, it is not like yonger kids wont watch, and older kids will, a fan of every age will watch no matter the rating.

The rating is fine. There's not that many violence in this show compared to the anime shows (and I'm not saying Avatar is an anime).

I dont think rating matters anyway, kids are going to watch it. I remember back when they started to push that whole rating thing and Ren and Stimpy got Y7 along with Are You Afraid of the Dark.

Nickelodeon is Y7 empire. They can even put a porno on there and it'd still be rated that.
I've been thinking 'why is Avatar rated that?' I think the Avatar people got in trouble for the skeletons in episode 103.

How many "is it a kids show" threads do we really need? Seriously, how many times do the creators have to say "we designed it for everyone" before we take thier word for it? Yeah, I know its hard to believe and so easy to fall back on the "its a kids show that has some things that will appeal to an older audience thing" but comon if you really look at it you'll easily see that they meant it this time. But no that big huge orange logo just changes everyone's view. If only their was an official??channel devoid of "target audiences" or "key??demographics". A place where they just show a bunch??shows that everyone can watch. Maybe then people would take their word for it.??But no, that's way too much work for most of these "creative" animators, writers and directors nowadays so best keep on dreamin.??...Oh and to actually answer the question thingie,??uh??well the show uses quite a bit of death and that would be easier to portray if it did have a higher rating. But then??that'll drive away the tykes and that goes right back into the "everyone is considered??thing."??So, I guess I'm still??waiting for the second half of the last season. ????

But who are really kiddin here? The show??can be rated MA or somethin and there's still??gonna be kids??who haven't even??lost??all their baby teeth watchin it. ??

I think that it should be rated G at least, but it would make for a much more interesting show if it was, say, PG. But not for sexual stuff, language, or anything else really, just for violence. Blood and guts and gore. I live for that stuff.

Said it before and I'll say it again, neither a dark show nor a kid show.

It's kinda sexual at times, but it's kinda hidden, and the swimwear they sometimes wear.

Only in two episodes, and well it kinda is swimwear. Still... "Love is brightest in the dark." I didn't even catch that one.

There's in my eyes no explicit violence or any sexual tinted parts in the episodes to give it a higher ranking, but i rather think it's to hard for kids to get the bigger picture for instance:
    Tales of ba sing se
The tales they probably do understand (most of the time):

Aang's tale (though they probably don't see the bigger picture of him being in a zoo), Sokka's tale (though they probably don't get the poetry), half of zuko's tale (only that he had a date part but probably not why it was risky for him to firebend the candles) and The Toph and Katara tale.

The ones they probably don't understand:

Momo's tale and Iroh's tale (especially the R.I.P mako part)

Dragon ball, One piece and Zatch Bell are Y7 and are more violent and sexual then this show by far. In fact I'd sooner let a kid see this show then Mr meaty, ren and stimpy or Tom and jerry??
