i think that the reason aang isnt avery powerfull airbender (or seems that way) is because

    A. he isnt a real airbending master yet, hes only had 12 yrs of preactice which isnt that much compare to Bumi who has had 112 yrs or the other masters we have seen i.e master??Pako and master Jon Jon,??which i think might mean he gets taught by and older airbender possibly from the western air temple(who by air bender rules are only female)

    B. because he is afraid of inducing the Avatar state and hurting is friends like in the first episode of the 2nd book- Avatar State. we saw how he felt in The Deserter when he burt Katara's hand he swore he would never firebend again.

please get back to me on this and plus if there are any hardcore fans who get the lastest film on there pc's and want to send them to me email me please!!!!

also someone put Bitter Work preview on Youtube!!!

Wait a sec, is this topic about Aang being more powerful, or Aang being more violent?

Anyway, Aang isn't just the last airbender; he's also the Avatar. We know??he has to master all??the elements, but another??point is this: won't this result??in mastering the martial arts styles assosiated with the other elements? For instance, firebending should mean adopting the offensive style of Northern Shaolin. The only way out??of this is to??apply his Ba Gua to every other type of bending, and we??haven't got much indication that??one art's bending moves will transfer completely to another art, and his teacher's will most likely be teaching the style along with the bending.

Of course, it'd be hard to imagine Aang dropping his peaceful ways to burn someone's face off with a firebending attack, unless he was really angry, or goes through a "Dark Aang" period. Still, wouldn't it be interesting if to see Aang fight in different ways, perhaps even competing in an Agni Kai?

    ??

Aang should start fighting in different.?? I just don't see why he hasn't get.?? He knows water bending some water, and should use that to attack.?? With air and water I don't think many people could beat him.

now that i've thought about it...how much more powerful could Ang get at this age? this is the same guy that stopped a lava flow from destroying a town without even getting Avatar State'd up...that's pretty powerful...

Aang has mastered airbending... that's why he has an arrow on his head (the creators said this in an interview).

Everyone knows that airbending is more defencive than offencive, firebending is truly offensive. Toph doesn't use the normal earthbending style, her style is mode free flowing than the normal hung gar style

Aang should not be more powerful because that is what makes his character interesting, not to mention his fighting philosophy which is non violent.

Look at it this way, if he (and the rest of the airbenders and mostly waterbenders too) weren't so much of pacifists, Aang would absolutely own. All his attacks only temporarily disable the opponent (this is airbending of course, and i am talking about knocking enemies down).

YES. I consistenly lost intrest throughout season 2 because of Aang's lack of growth. sure...every now and then he gets ticked off and makes a mushroom cloud, but he's never consistenly powerful. He's so used to avoiding and evading, he never really dominates in fights. It always seems like he's getting beat/ not trying. don't get me wrong, Aang can do amazing stuff when he needs too...I just wish he would've gone into the avatar state more in season 2 (i'm still bitter)
