Does anyone remember when Iroh was on the boat heading to BSS and said this "I believe that people can change their lives if they want to, I belive in SECOND CHANCES." This forshadows something major in the series. When Zuko betrayed Iroh, he didnt have a plan set up with Iroh, he decided do side with Azula by himself. Eventually, Zuko will redeem himself and get a second chance from Iroh.

His "old" life was his first chance. Iroh believed that in Ba-Sing-Se Zuko and him would get to start over, hence the second chance.

But Iroh still supported Zuko even when he left him after the episode "Avatar Day."?? I just think that that quote will have significance in a??future episode.

Iroh didn't really fight Azula's force and became captured.
Maybe it's because he believes Zuko will change.

There maybe two paths you can go by, but in the long run there's still time to change the road you're on.
