    I'm sure several people have already asked this question before. However, let me get straight to the point. I live in the United States. Although I'm not an avid Avatar fan, I still haven't missed an episode of the series yet.

    This afternoon, I saw that my sister was playing an Avatar game on the computer, and it reminded me of how I haven't seen a new episode of the series in a very long time. Immediately, I made a quick Google search on "Avatar" and found out that I had missed around five episodes. Every episode that aired after "The Day of the Black Sun", that is. I had no clue how I missed these episodes, since I thought that I would've heard about them being aired on Nick.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but after doing a little more research, I found out that none of the episodes after "The Day of the Black Sun" aired in the United States on Nickelodeon.

    Right now, I'm watching the episodes I missed online. However, with all that being said, are these "unreleased" episodes ever going to air in the United States? I've also heard that Avatar will be returning to Nick in July, so that they can air the remaining episodes of the series. When are these episodes going to air? Why didn't these episodes air in the United States originally?

    I really appreciate all the answers and comments I can get on this topic, as I'm really curious as to what's going on with this series right now. Thanks a bunch, guys.

    Those episodes were released to DVD and advertised as "Never before Seen." As for the rest of your questions, I really don't know the answer.

    The remaining episodes will air the week of JULY 14 withe the 4 part finale airing on Saturday night. All episodes up to the Boiling Rock may also be viewed on DVD. Please support the official release by either buying the DVD or renting it.

    Ok, well, after Day of Black Sun, Avatar took a hiatus (a break from the show) here in the U.S. However, many episodes which take place AFTER Day of Black Sun aired in Canada on YTV before airing here. These include The Western Air Temple, The Firebending Masters, and the Boiling Rock, parts 1 and 2. These episodes WILL air in the U.S. The rest of the season (which is the rest of the show) will be aired during a week long event in July. On Monday, July 14, The Western Air Temple will air. On Tuesday, July 15, the Firebending Masters will air. On Wednesday, July 16, the Boiling Rock Parts 1 and 2 will air. On Thursday July 17, The Southern Raiders (which has not aired ANYWHERE) will air. On Friday July 18, The Ember Island Players (also has not aired anywhere) will air. And, on Saturday July 19, The 4 part Series Finale will air (names unknown).

    Edit: I forgot to mention, Day of Black Sun Part 2: The Eclipse, The Western Air Temple, The Firebending Masters, and the Boiling Rock Parts 1 and 2 were released on DVD before they aired. You can get the DVD at any electronics store, it is Season 3 Volume 3.

    The Boiling Rock hasn't aired on YTV yet. It was leaked to the internet because someone got the DVD from Blockbuster early.
