As you know the typical season length of Avatar is 20 episodes the way the season is going it doesnt look like the show will just abrutly end we are already on chapter 15 and I see no sign of an end I dont wanna see it end but do you think they will extend the season or maybe double the number of episodes or a whole new season what would be the only way you see avatar ending.

I know what you mean, they don't seem to be moving toward an ending at all.

From Avatar Spirit, posted back in NOVEMBER:

After some debate in the ASN forums, we decided to contact Nickelodeon to see if we could get confirmation on a few things surrounding the "Day of Black Sun" movie event and the rest of season three. Consequently, we have confirmed with Nickelodeon that season three of Avatar will have 21 episodes, rather than the 20 episodes that seasons one and two had.

DoBS Tidbits: The "Day of Black Sun" movie event is two separate episodes broadcast together, somewhat analogous to the way "The Secret of the Fire Nation" event was handled in the second season. The two episodes for the "Day of Black Sun" are episode 310, "Day of Black Sun Part 1: The Invasion" and episode 311, "Day of Black Sun Part 2: The Eclipse".

In a confusing twist, though, although the episodes are separate (numbers 310 and 311 respectively), both are part of "Chapter 10" in Book Three: Fire. Up until now, each chapter has been an episode, but with "Day of Black Sun" this is no longer the case. Thanks to ASN forum user Jimothy for pointing this bit out to us!

Season Three Finale: Also revealed was that the Avatar season three (and show) finale will be comprised of episodes 318, 319, 320 and 321. No other information on episode titles or broadcast dates was available.

Nick only made one copy of season 3. Which was struck by lighting a while ago. Which explains alot.

The creators already said they wanted this series to be three seasons to begin with.

That's not "ending" it or "cancelling" it, that's completing it. It's what they want, it's how it should be, and it's how it's going to be.

I would like to see Avatar make more season but that will not happen. The creators are done I can live with that. I have seen too many shows run on long after their prime and just get boring and used up or dried up like an old yellow sponge that you can not throw away because it all you got. Now we would not like that to happen to our Avatar I would rather have it leave on the high note then to fall like other shows.

if you mean extend it past 21 episodes then no, they cant do that. its what, early/ mid august now in the avatar world? (cause of the eclipse being on august 1 or something like that?/????) we still have to do the mission, ember siland players, search for zukos mum, and more. no time to spare

okay, i LOVE avatar, but how can you wish the show wouldn't end? It was MADE to end after 3 seasons. once the finale comes around, there won't really be anything else to do -- the whole show was leading up the sozin's comet.

i only got into avatar last summer and the fact that it's gonna be over this summer is sad. but it's been great and probably will end great and that's better than a lackluster 4th season just because people "don't want the show to end." it was planned from the beginning - book 1 water, 2 earth, 3 fire, and there's no need for air. done.
