Okay guys, tell me what you think about this. I'll still probably make it into a fanfic anyway.
    ---------------------

At the end of season three, however it actually happened doesn't matter-- the firelord was defeated and as the ultimate precaution Aang destroyed Sozin's comet. Ignoring all couples and shippings, here's what I have ideas for:

Azula: Ozai was defeated, but Azula wasn't and she managed to escape out to somewhere and went into hiding. Slowly for a little while she began to create a new army of her own to start a war all over again. She is banished by the new firelord, so this is a difficult task. Even more difficult because of a "revolution" happening within the fire nation. Anyway, the new firelord shows up talking about a "bridge" and demands she hand over her army to him. Azula refuses and they clash in battle. A battle she loses. She is left for dead by her collected soldiers, who accept the spirit as their new leader. Azula wishes to have revenge for this, but she knows she can't do it alone, and so reluctantly she sets out to find the avatar and his friends, first running into Mai and Ty Lee who follow her. Azula had made it her business to know the avatar's whereabouts and so they set out to find him.

Mai & Ty ee: Ty Lee returned to the circus after the war, where she sees she is truly happy. Mai is always bored no matter where she is, so she followed with Ty Lee to her circus job, where she impresses the crowds by hitting bulls-eyes. (Lame, I know) Anyway, there is an attack on the city they are performing on one day and barely manage to escape with their lives, as fire nation soldiers burned down the entire place. They meet up with Azula who they are no longer very good friends with, but join her anyway to find out what's going on.

Iroh: (assuming he doesn't die in season three) Iroh is now the new firelord, and as his first command, he chooses to banish Azula for all her evil. Iroh, however, falls prey to a strange sickness which he is unable to come out of. he had been showing signs since days after Sozin's comet was destroyed and the war ended. Zuko, being the ever-worried nephew, sets out to look for help. While Zuko is gone however, Iroh awakens and demands for a new army to be formed. Everyone is confused at his request, and when Iroh reveals he has less than a good purpose for the army, no one will obey his request, fearing another war. Iroh goes on a rampage and escapes to look for an army to command. He stumbles upon Azula who is somewhat surprised to see him. He commands her to hand over to him her gathered army, so that he may find "the bridge". She refuses and attacks him along with some of her army. Iroh lays waste to her aiding soldiers, and her as well. He looks upon the rest of the built army and gives them a choice. Follow, or die. They follow.

Zuko: Worried for his uncle's life, Zuko sets out to find someone who can heal him, but he knows there is still turmoil between the other nations and the fire nation, so he goes to the next best thing. He searches for the avatar in the Earth Kingdom, and runs into Toph instead, who took it upon herself to make it on her own for a while. Since in the end of season three(assuming) Zuko was a big help in defeating the firelord and ending the war, she decides to help him look for twinkle-toes. She tells him he left to advance his training with the guru, (assuming Aang didn't die for a moment and the avatar state is no more) and they head for the eastern air temple to find him. The two engage in a conversation about Iroh which Toph is interested in, seeing as she's good friends with the old man. Before they reach the eastern airtemple however, they both run into a familiar face. Or to say, a familiar face, and equally familiar vibration.

Toph: Unwilling to go back to her 'prison' back home, Toph chooses to travel the world on her own after the end of the war. She says goodbye to the old gang (everyone promises to meet again someday and some other mushy stuff) and she wanders through the earth Kingdom, wanting to 'see' what she missed as she flew on Appa. She refuses to ever go back to Ba Sing Se, and so sets out to go to other places like Omashu and visit Bumi(assuming he doesn't die) because she wants to test her skills against him. (and test his jokes, seeing as Aang spoke highly of him) After hitting Omashu she moves on to her next random destination, a place for a mini-vacation she never got to choose. During her traveling she runs into Zuko who is desperately in need of finding the avatar. Toph feels the need to help when she hears about Iroh and points Zuko in the right direction, and goes with him too to find Aang. They run into someone she never thought she'd 'see' again.

Katara: Katara chose to return to the south pole to help in making things better, along with all the new benders from the north pole. She furthers her training here and teaches others too. Things aren't peaceful for long, and she knows something's wrong when 'black snow' falls from the sky. Everyone gets ready to defend their home and fire nation ships are upon them soon.

Sokka: Choosing to join his father in the water tribe navy, he set out to become a more skilled warrior. The ship he and his father are on is attacked by a fire nation ship however, and they wonder if the fire nation is trying to start something up again. Sokka's dad (I forget his name) send Sokka to the south pole to make sure everything is all right. So a few ships head out to find out while the rest head for the north pole. Sokka and the other ships arrive in time to drive back the fire nation ships, and Sokka and Katara are shocked to hear the attack is in the name of Iroh. Katara's neckalace is all that is taken from the south pole as the fire nation ships leave. They figure out the best thing to do is to find Aang to see just what the heck is going on. When they get to the eastern air temple, they are surprised to see some familiar faces, but not happy to see all of them.

Jet: Jet, longshot, and smellerbee are back again. Roaming around the earth kingdom looking for something to do now that the war is over. On their own way they meet up with the familiar faces of Toph and Zuko. Needless to say, the two boys get ready to go tooth and nail against one another, but Toph and jet's gang manage to stop the fight before it breaks out. They call a truce, but not one either of them is particularly happy with. The five of them head on to the eastern air temple, where Katara, Sokka, Aang, the Guru, Azula, Mai and Ty lee are now as well. Seeing Azula there doesn't fall well with anyone, and she gets even worse reactions when she says Iroh has gone mad with power, especially from Zuko and Toph, but Katara and Sokka tell them of the attack on the south pole and everyone somewhat calms down. Azula is the first to propose an alliance. One that is refused completely, but after some persuading talk from her, everyone accepts... for now... The group sets out to track down Iroh, starting at the north pole.

The group: The group gets to the north Pole and after some big an awesome cut-scene of them (all except for Toph who can't see through Ice) fighting their way through the chaos-infested north pole, they reach Iroh who is standing in front of the spirit Oasis with Katara's neckalace in hand. He turnes around to them and welcomes the Avatar and his friends, saying they arrived just in time. Iroh reveals he is not Iroh at all, but a spirit in control of his body.

Iroh: Ah, avatar Aang... and friends, it's quite the pleasure to see those who released me from my elemental prison.
Zuko: What are you talking about uncle?
Iroh: I am not your uncle you fool. Simply the user of his body. Imprisonment in that wretched comet for thousands and thousands of years can be quite irritating you know. Avatar Aang-- when you destroyed the comet you also destroyed my prison, and not me, as the spirits who long ago sealed me would have thought.

    Flashback:

Wan Shi Tong, a previous incarnation of the avatar, along with loads of other spirits, including Koh the face stealer, are facing another spirit(I haven't thought of a look for him), who is being held in some kind of cage made of the elements.

Avatar: We should destroy him. It's the only way to be sure he will not cause trouble again.
Wan Shi Tong: No. There is no telling what might happen if he is destroyed.
The Blue spirit(original): But there IS telling what will happen if he is not. He is far to dangerous to exist-- even as a spirit.
Koh: Then perhaps we should think of a more 'secure' way to do it. That prison certainly seems to be enough to hold him.
Wan Shi Tong: True, but it will not last for long. It is all that my knowledge was able to conjure up to trap him, but only for a short while, as we decide what to do.
Avatar: If he is far too dangerous to destroy, or be left alone, then he should be contained. Wan Shi Tong-- do you think a bigger prison could be built? One capable of holding him indefinately?
Wan Shi Tong: A stronger prison could certainly be built... But no prison would last forever, and he draws his power from the spirit world itself. For the prison to last he would have to be sent somewhere a little more... solid.
Koh: You suggest we send him to the world of the living?
Wa Shi Tong: It would prove far less hazardous were he to remain there. But in the living world he would still prove a great threat. Both worlds must remain safe. He shall be imprisoned and sent to the living world. And his prison-- a comet.

    End flashback.

Possesed Iroh: So you see... you set me free avatar... after such a long time, I will finally return to the spirit world to claim my revenge. And I will not stop there-- I will return here with all my power and destroy this accursed dimension, which for so long served to keep me in my prison. I started the war, in hopes of speeding up my releasement. But the spirits were no fools... I cannot return to the spirit world by myself. I need a pathway there. And there is only one thing in this world that can give me that pathway-- that bridge. The avatar. But that is not enough. I must be at a place where the connection between the spirit world and the living world is powerful. Such a place was destroyed in the fire nation during your little trip there Aang, to speak with avatar Roku, and I am unable to enter through the air and earth temples. That leaves the north pole and its sacred place. But the sacred place is not complete! This neckalace is made from the bits of earth that form it, and now that I will return it I will be free to return to the spirit world. Now come close Avatar-- so that I may finish!!!

There is a long fight(including Toph, now that there's something around she can bend.) Iroh is defeated and the spirit possessing him is forced out of his body

Spirit: No... not after all this time... I WILL NOT BE DENIED!

Everyone (cept Ty lee I guess) contributes to a combined attack against the visible spirit, and their combined power ultimately destroys him completely. Add some scenes of the spirits congratulating the avatar and his friends in destroying the spirit and you have an ending. The spirits htough, reveal that the one they have just killed was the sun spirit, and without him the world will fall into chaos... but Iroh wakes up, and having some of the sun spirit within him, purified by his own kind soul, he become the new sun spirit and leaves behind everyone with a rather sad ending. Except for Azula and the other angels. Jet and Zuko now get along, and here ends my idea.
    -----------------------------

Of course that was the summary version. I was making this into a fanfic, but I guess I could see where this goes as far as the movie we're making.
Instead of the north pole again, why not be in the center of a volcano, the biggest one in the fire nation? With the spirit for fire instead of Tui and La? I have an idea for the evil comet spirit, have you ever played Jak 3? He would look like the precursors execpt he would be a glowing flaming red with spikes like a porqupine on his back and since he's evil, claws and general sharp things. Out of the elbows, shoulders, knees, back of the hand, and maybe a crown of spikes sticking out of his forehead? Some bone-like things on him like medievel plate armor and long, sharp teeth. Tell me that isn't sinister sounding. He was the spirit of the volcano until he tried to destroy(insert idea here) and he was launched out of the volcano in an eruption that caused mass devastation and the rock he was imprisoned in becaome Sozin's comet, which is why it gave him so much power, because the spirit of fire resided in it. How's that? Took me longer to write it than it did to think it up.

*takes deep breath* Okay, I've went through all the ideas and I kinda liked the one someone did about the bridge to the spirit world. Listen, I'm big on Asian mythology and I kinda came up with this idea. First off...

Have any of you ever wondered how bending got started? *silence* Or about what happened to the first Avatar? *more silence* What if something happened that made the Avatar gang have to find out these answers? Okay, listen to my idea.

What if after the war all the benders started to lose their powers? At first, its just getting weaker, but then some of the benders lose it completely...even the Avatar is slowly losing his powers of bending (starting with fire, then earth, then water, last air). Aang and the gang have to try and find out what's causing it. First they try the Guru, then, they decide to try the ancient libary. There they find out that they must go to the spirit world, like the first Avatar did, and find the sources of the bending power.

There are four sources of the bending power. They are four spirits that represent the seasons that the four nations do.

Mong Zhang- The spirit of spring and of earthbending

Ling Kuang- The spirit of summer and of firebending

Jian Bing- The spirit of fall and of airbending

Zhi Ming- The spirit of winter and waterbending

Uh, tell me if you like the idea so for, then I'll tell you more.

Hey, that's not bad. Except I chose the north pole because of the whole it's-not-complete-thing. Just to get the south pole into that and draw Sokka and Katara in. That shrine of Rokku's WAS destroyed, so I didn't choose that place, though I suppose it could've been rebuilt...

The library has been destroyed, and there are already water spirits. Good thoughts though, I like Taang's Idea. I'll be back in a few minutes, not supposed to be on the computer right now.

Well, I like the idea of bending slowly dissappearing. But I thought Tui and La(sp?) were the responsible ones for waterbending. (or one of them was) Still, that's a neat idea.

Tui and La were the first water-benders but nobody knows where the power of waterbending or any bending comes from and the libary was not destroyed, but buried.

Hmmm...along the lines of that yes, obsessedchic. I'm still trying to get all the details right in my head.

No, thats pretty far-fecthed. Earth is a constant, and air is everywhere, they shouldn't lose their powers.
