??ive heard about the rumors of combining elements such as water+fire=gasbender,air+earth=sandbender,air+fire=smokebender,air+water=mistbender and other combinations

well i dont believe that combining elements is possible(except for the avatar of course)because gas is a liquid and it belongs to the waterbender.sand is also part of the earth.mist are cold air.smoke is also part of the air but contains chemicals.and other worst combinations like blood bender,food bender,animal bender(thats funny you could bend yourself) and others

They already have sandbenders and i don't think they are combining the elements. I can't believe this since i'm not a true Avatar fan but i like the show

It isn't, it is them bending sand (small pieces of earth) and making it look like a kinda of sand tornado. As for combining elements, it is impossible since with the exception of the avatar you can only bend one element, you can incorporate however the different styles of bending into your elelments like with the lightning bending, its fire bending that incorporates water bending styles.

The show is good how it is. Sand benders are earth benders. The ymay not earhtbend in the show though because its just sand asll around them so thats how they were trained. Sand IS just tiny pieces of earth.

Combining elemants is kinda stupid actually. Sand Benders are earthbending. Sand is just tiny crushed up rocks. They just probably never earthbend because they live around sand so thats how they were taught.

There is proof that waterbenders can bend people and control them like a puppet master (says so on Nick.com Avatar site) so I wouldn't find it hard to believe that they could bend animals as well. They can bend vines too, and we've seen Master Pakku bend soup in "The Waterbending Master" so I don't find certain food-bending hard to believe either. There is also proof that sandbenders are just earthbenders (not airbenders; not a mixed element) (also says so on Nick.com Avatar site). Mist would be more of a waterbender thing since they can manipulate water molecules in the air.

Actually if you notice they can bend all forms of their element.?? Like Katara is able to make water into ice or snow or vapor.?? The same goes for the rest. ??

ok to get back on topic: Like everyone said, the only person who can bend more than one element is the avatar so he is more like an all bender then anything else. As for the sandbenders, I think they are just really good earthbenders since its much harder to bend sand then it is to bend earth.

I always just thought the sandbenders were earth benders who perfected the art of bending sand. Like firebenders and lightning.
