remember when team avatar was going to the library and toph said there it is.then sokka and katara looked.why would they look if toph is blind.

they looked because they were anxious to find the library. u no when u r lookin 4 something some1 would say " i found (insert object here)" then u would look and they were lying. and even if the person was blind i doubt that would be the first thing that pops in your head.
and yes that was the joke part, mabey u didnt get it. i dont no.

Because of her blindness, Toph is able to maneuver abour as if she could see via seeing through detecting the vibrations in the earth with her Earthbending. The gang tends to forget Toph is blind since she moves about like a person who can see.
Besides, the gang was hot, tired, and anxious to find the mystical library; when Toph happily exclaimed "there it is", they looked.

Me thinks the slow, lengthy explanation of this joke is sucking all the fun out of Toph's dry, sarcastic wit.
