toph = earth/metal bender
1) cant she bend the metal in the air, like metal dust, or like metal particles in the air?
2) cant she bend the metal in people's bodies (iron) [if anyone watched XMEN... Magneto used is metal "bending" to kill the gaurd cause huge capacity of iron in his blood]

katara = water bender
1) cant she bend the water in people's bodies?
2) cant she bend the water in the air, not like the clouds, i mean like invisible air, air we're breathing right now

aang = air bender
1) cant he bend the air in people's lungs?

theoretically, an airbender could colapse your lungs or just up and pop you. waterbenders yould do all sorts of nasty stuff to you, since you're 70% water anyway, firebenders...well duh.

earthbenders are tricky, though, because "earth" is made up of so many different components, anyone notice whether or not earthbenders bend actual dirt and soil? from what i can recall it seems to be only rocks, sand, and crystals, and maybe clay. i don't know about actual soil, though.

I think it's rather ridiculous that Toph can bend metal (or the impurities in metal or whatever). She's like 12, and yet she's better than any master earth bender...does that seem wrong to anyone else? And this is slightly off topic, but the fact that she can tell if people are lying also seems a little super-human. They're just making her too powerful. But if she can do those kinds of things and if the Swamp water benders can bend the water in plants, I wouldn't be surprised if Katara could bend the water in people and Aang the air in their lungs. I doubt that they would though.

Okay the Toph thing is normal, she's powerful, no problem with that. For Katara they can waterbend in peoples bodies but she's not at a high enough level yet. Niether is Aang.

i think he/she ment that since human bodies are 70-75% water, y shouldnt waterbenders be able to water bend them? and the 'wall juice' on the drill ep. was most likely only 50% water...
