    ??Been bored out of my wits lately, so i've been wondering lately on what i can do to make my life easier if i could bend.?? Or what jobs i could do if i could bend.?? So far, here are what came to mind:

    Airbending - hang gliding (obviously!), clearing the lawn of leaves, drying the dishes
    Waterbending - surfing (just imagine the waves you can make!)
    Firebending - fireworks, cooking, metal craft
    Earthbending - farming, construction, mining, firefighting

    Of course, all of the above would be great at parties, and i'm sure clowns would kill to be able to bend.

    You could make suggestions of your own since i just typed what came outta my head.?? But please remember to keep it PG - 13, so as much as possible, no morbid descriptions of how to finish off a person or such.??

    I'd say waterbending is more practical for firefighting, no pressure system required. As for firebending I'm having a more difficult time coming up with professions it would be useful in, except for maybe a trail guide who has to set up camp for his/her team every night. But even that wouldn't speed things up much, with today's lighters it's not really a lengthy process to start a campfire. Hmm.??Does firebending really have??any practical use in today's world?

    Blowing up a port-a-poty, using the gas that the fire has, by closing all the ventilations.

    DITCHING ANYTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH ADVANCED CIVILIZATION. That means I would ditch school, ditch taxes, ditch jobs, ditch ANYTHING that is "mandatory" in the current world and go live by myself. I'd rather have earthbending for this, since I would find it more useful that bending any of the other elements. But they would be fine too I guess.

    Yeah, that's actually what I'm planning to do later on. Maybe a year or two after I'm done with college, just to get my bearings and stuff. I don't like things that I have to do without choice.

    I'm sure someone would come up with great uses for firebending. Fire is energy, and we use energy all the time. Firebending could heat our homes and power our hot air balloons and er... I really don't know much about mechanical science and burning things, but I'm sure generating instant heat and fire would be very useful in many ways... someone please help me, I don't know what I'm saying!

    Well, firebending would have been really useful back in the steam engine days... I think... Also there's hot air baloons, which you mentioned. There's also blacksmiths, (if there are any left) sculpturers, some other art proffessions... Actually when you think about it, pretty much anything, since nearly everything in the modern world depends on, or is designed to imitate fire. But i can't come up with realy good examples either. *anime sweatdrop*

    ...well I'm sure people would never get too cold, either....

    Oh! Lightning is electricity, which we use every day. When the power goes out we could do... something to make it come back more quickly. And, er...??maybe something else.... Science is not my forte.

    Somewhere out there, a Scientist just died because of us.
    ====================
    *Somewhere in Alaska*
    Scientist: Oh my goodness! I've discovered a way for ordinary humans to be able to bend the elements! All I have to do is write down my ideas and publish them for everyone to learn-- *falls and dies*

    ====================

    Maybe we should do a different element...?

    Flying of course. It would right off eliminate a HUGE portion of pollution on Earth. (The most obvious, most vehicles would become obsolete.) It might be helpful to austronauts, you know, in case they run into a hull breach and air is escaping... Sails would become far more useful in boats, everyone would definately have loads of more fun, and the government would no longer be able to mooch off of people who need to fly to places, and would not be able to abuse gasoline prices!

    What have you got?

    Uhh... you pretty much took everything I could think of... You wouldn't have to wait until March to fly a kite. And you could blowdry your hair a lot quicker for easy styling on the go.

    Water is a very useful thing. There's irrigation, and water-based transportation. Someone said surfing already... (I'm not very good at this) *ponders* You could get instantly cooled beverages. You could melt snow quickly if you were snowed in. Or you could use steam to... melt fondue.
