I have a great conflict for the ending of the series. After Aang defeats the Fire Lord, restores balence to the world, and frees the world of the evil of the Fire Lord, after that happens, the Earth Kingdom generals, want to conquer the Fire Nation for themselfs, and give the Fire Nation a taste of their own medicine.

Aang and his friends think that is wrong, and would be sinking to the Fire Lord's level, and they already got the bad guys, and all they would be doing is punishing the citizens of the Fire Nation for stuff the Fire Lord and the Fire Nation army did. And in a reversal?? of things, the Avatar has to protect the Fire Nation from the Earth Kingdom army.

That is not a bad idea. It'd be a real twist, and could bring about a fourth season.

Very simple, it would go down like this.

Earth Kingdom General: We did it. We took down the Fire Nation, Fire Lord Ozai is dead, Princess Azula and the Fire Nation?? army are imprissioned and put on trial for war crimes against the world. Thanks to you Avatar.??Now all that is left, is for us to claim the Fire Nation for the Earth Kingdom.

Aang: What? We already took care of the Fire Lord, and leaders of the??Fire Nation army. Balence is restored to the world.??You be??embalencing the world again.

Earth Kingdom General: Nonesence, these people need to pay for all they have done.

Aang: These people,??are not responsible for the war.??Ozia, Azula, and the leaders of the Fire Nation army are responsible. They were victoms to the Fire Lord as well.

For some reason, I don't think that the ending will end the way everyone thinks. The whole "Aang will defeat Ozai and peace will come to the world... etc etc..." Nah. Not gonna happen. If you notice the way the creators have been flinging twists and funky plot loops and bunches of cool, unexpected phenomena, then I can confidently say that they will find a VERY creative way to finish the series.

I mean, c'mon. Be realistic, people. It's a WAR. Just because you defeat the King, that doesn't solve the problem. In fact, it might make more problems. Think of Iraq as an example, their problems didn't end with the dictator.

True. I don't see the people of the other nations ready to forgive the people of the FN just like that. I mean, put yourself in their position:
For 100 years, the country you live in has suffered massive losses and your fellow countrymen lived in fear of an imperialistic nation that has been at war to conquer your country and the world. You, your family and friends have suffered and you have lost people you know to the war (killed or captured), possibly even forced to live as a refugee.
Then that nation is suddently defeated. What do you want to see happen to that nation?

Not everyone will think along the same lines as Aang.

If you noticed: In the episode when the GAang went to the fire festival, the children were sort of being brain washed that the Earth Kingdom was 'evil' and 'corupt.' And that the Fire Nation was the savior.(Note: The puppet show.)?? Maby the Fire Nations civilians are being worped like the Ba Sing Se peoples. (Just a thought. Things just didn't seem right in that episode.)

Interesting... I think the writers will leave these issues and just end the series with the avatar ending the war.

That is my whole point. The job of the Avatar is to bring peace and balence to the world. The other nations might not want them, and want more vengence on the Fire Nation. Which conflicts with what the Avatar is all about.

If Iroh helps the generals to defend Ba Sing Se like I think he will then he would be able to talk them out of doing that.

    He's great at advice.

actually it can end after the king is death take our world now in the middle ages(i don't know how you guys call it) the battle ended right after the leader was killed when the king was killed everyone stopped attacking and the war was over. good times good times, they also used to chat with each other when there army's where murdering each other out (i really should stop paying attention in class)

That WOULD be interesting. however this is my take, I think that the earth kingdom will either be so pissed that they raze it to the ground, OR, they will either be so tired of fighting that they will just leave after the fire armies been defeated.
