Alright, now that it is safe to assume that neither Zuko nor Iroh will teach Aang Firebending, I think my idea that I thoghut up today might have a chance. I think that two new characters will be found in the Fire Nation, a teenage boy and girl who have a love/hate relationship but are both Firebending masters, will join the Gaang and teach Aang Firebending. This would only work if it is true that not all (if even many) of the FN citizens approve of the war, including the genocide agaisnt the Airbenders (or maybe even all of the AN) and conquering the EK, but instead only the FN elite are in favor of it, while the other classes suffer from this and/or believe this is wrong (One might say this is disproved by the fact that the village in "The Deserter" was having a pro-Ozai puppet show and that the Fire Sages were trying to capture Aang, but the village in "The Deserter" was in the EK, so was probably under the jurisdiction of some FN noble, and the Fire Sages are high-ranking and have been twisted from their helpnig the Avatar.). By adding two teachers, one of each gender, you still have an equal number of each gender. I'm thinking that the boy could serve as a "straight man" to Aang and Sokka, while the girl could round off Katara and Toph with a different personality (girly girl for example, with Katara as the girl next door and Tohp as the tomboy) and make them a group of three females, which is often used as a structure for important female characters.

My idea is that there will be one teacher and it will be a female teacher because both of his other teachers are female. hmmm...does Ty-Lee have a firebending cousin?

I like the idea of the Straight man Firebender rouge...someone who I guess you could say would be a comic foil for Sokka who would probably be distrustful of a Firebender. Maybe even someone who's teaching Aang but doesn't really want to, could be doing Jeong Jeong a favor...

It should be someone young, Jeong Jeong might cramp the gaangs style
They should make it a young female Aangs age, that would add some drama!

Why is it safe to assume that Iroh can't be the teacher? It was a while in season 2 before he found his earthbending teacher, so it could be at least a few episodes in season 3 before he finds his firebending teacher. That gives them time to have Iroh escape/be rescued.

How about the fact he's being held prisoner in an immpenatrable city contolled by the wicked Azula and the Avatar has sustained a severe physical and emotional injury? EVER THINK OF THAT!

Ah, impenetrable???Not exactly. It is pretty tough??to conquer, but getting a single prisoner out is different.??How many people have escaped from that prison so far? The fact that Toph can bend metal might give the gang??a surprise advantage if they try to rescue Iroh.

I'm not saying it's going to happen for sure, but a lot of people have been captured at various times and escaped throughout the show. It seems it is very hard to keep a bender prisoner safely.

Yeah, I actually kind of want Iroh to teach Aang. Unless Zuko rescues him any attempt to rescue Iroh could be futile. Especially if Azula calls in more firenation soldiers to guard the city.

SIX people??? That seems like an awful lot.?? That's like a whole big party.?? Hmm, I'm not a Zutara shipper by any stretch of the imagination, but I really thought that Zuko was going to join the group to teach Aang firebending, as ironic as that would be.?? Maybe it will be a completely new character, like Toph was.?? By the way, DrAvatar, your Joo Dee pictures and caption are really really spooky.?? *shudders with apprehension*.?? Eep.

Katara taught Aang with care and attention to detail. Toph taught Aang like a drill sergeant or a coach, but never really went hands on, except to pluck him in he head or to test his strength. If Aang's teacher is a guy I hope he's the kinda person who will be teaching Aang by fighting him...
