Okay, I've noticed this wherever I've gone that involves original character creations for Avatar.?? There is an over abundance of Airbending characters.?? There should be, in my humble opinion, no other Airbenders left other than Aang.?? Why??? Because if there's another Airbender, then it's no long Avatar: The Last Airbender.?? It's Avatar: The Not Quite But Kind Of??Almost Last Airbender.?? There is no need for there to be other Airbenders unless the show introduced them.

Oh, how about this one??? I saw a fanfic where the original character was Aang's twin sister.?? I repeat: Aang's twin sister.?? I read the fanfic, the author completely overlooked the fact that Aang was stuck in ice for 100 years.?? That would make his twin sister 112 years old, but in her fanfic she was still 12.?? I probably wouldn't have been bothered by it so much if she'd given a logical explination for why she was still 12, if she'd somehow been spiritually connected to Aang and was frozen and unfrozen at the same time he was, but there was nothing.

Oh, and then there's the mysterious girl in another fanfic who's both a Firebender and an Airbender, and of course she's madly in love with Zuko who mends his wicked ways so they can be together and happy.?? Not believable.?? I don't mind??the 20 trillion female characters in Avatar fanfics who all somehow become in love with him and they fall in love and get married and all live happily ever after.?? But if you must write one of these, please make the character something we can believe.?? And...NO BLOND CHARACTERS.

    Okay, I'm done ranting now.

Bravo. I applaud you for your blunt response to these issues. Unfortunately these are unchangeable. Their will still be so many blond airbeinding girls that Zuko will fall in love with. That's why I like my roleplay character Tomo. She hates Zuko. And the Firenation.

like i already said to freakin' much times: there HAVE to be more airbenders left. just like Aang said that Air Temple cant be reached without a flying bison, the ''last airbender'' stuff could also be not true. the air nomads are NOMADS, their most important treasure is their freedom. they were traveling all over the world. as long as there are villages left like Kyoshi Island, i just cant believe that there arent still a few airbenders left... i mean, the people in ATLA can reach an age of 150 years! even if they havent had a few children since the war, there have to be a few alive.

I'm not entirely sure that's specifically what she hates, but a big part of it. Mostly she just hates the dumb reasons that Airbenders are still there, but as a whole thinks the whole thing unlikely and that it cheapens the show. I prefer the "Last Airbender" premise to the "Hidden Away on a Floating Continient That You Discover in Disk 3" concept.

hmmm... maybe Aang will help the people from the Northern Air Temple to become airbenders. he said that they already have the spirit of one... one way or another, the airbenders must come back and become just as strong and populated as they once were. and this will be Aang his job, not only because he's an airbender, but also because he's the avatar. the world cant be balance if one entire nation is gone.

*runs over and hugs you in a teary, sobbing, grateful mess* Thank you thank you THANK YOU!?? Finally someone gets it!?? I could kiss you, but that would make this moment VERY awkward!

And I like that "Hidden Away on a Floating Continent That You Discover in Disk 3" thing, that's an awsome analogy.?? Very Final Fantasy 9 (in which you have to fly to a specific location on??Choco when he gains the ability to fly and then have him fly up into Chocobo Island, though I'm not sure that's what it's called because I haven't played this game in forever because one of my friends has been borrowing it for almost a year).

I reference everything to a Final Fantasy game eventually.

Yes. Yes it was. You should be ashamed.

I wouldn't turn my back on the show if it turned out to not be about the Last Airbender, but it would lose some of its urgency.

The Airbenders go extinct, the Avatar cycle is broken when Aang dies and the world remains incomplete.

I know they have to come back, and they're welcome to!?? What bugs me is that, as you said Aang will probably teach them Airbending, but most of the fancharacters don't have anyone teaching them Airbending!?? So how in the heck do they learn?

Ok well I totally agree in the fact of the blond this ovistly they have not noticed that there are not other blonds on the show. But I have to say i am still debating the fact of him being the only air bender left. Because I just can't get it though my thick head I think there will be an episode were another airbender is found. But I do agree about the title.....Sorry just my opinon

??It's not necessary for the airbenders to be repopulated. If he's the last airbender then their is no way the airbenders are going to return. Period. Remember the title. Avatar: The Last Airebender.

Maybe its supposed to be Avatar: The Last Airbender (for now) but they left out the for now. If there are any lingering descendants out there, maybe they just haven't discovered their abilities yet.

period? u seem pretty convinced about urself, dont you? the entire job of the avatar is to balance the world, thats why he's needed so much to defeat the FN. BUT that also means that the FN should be kept ''alive'', because else the world would unbalance once again. he has to find a way to restore the airbenders, one way or another... i dont really care about the title, if its correct or not, and i also dont care if there are airbenders left, or that they still need to be ''recruited''. all i care, is that the airbenders MUST return to the way they were. pretty much?? everyone agrees on that

Or the gaping hole in the world where the Airbenders used to be is a symbol of the Avatar's failure which foreshadows a greater failure - perhaps the ending of the Avatar line itself.

Balance isn't the only way to end the show.
