    I doubt its real.

    First off because it sounds like some cheesy FanFic

    Second because the creators and writers wouldn't be stupid enough to let something like this out.

    Third, anyone can post on Wikipedia, so it could have been put up by anyone.

    At first, I just read the title and knew it was fake. Then I read the movie summary. A mech army. WTF!

    No, there was a "summary" for an Avatar "movie" someone made up. It was rediculous, and Wikipedia deleted it

    A film named "Avatar" will be out in 2008, though it's plot looks very diffrent from the show, being directed by James Cameron. I don't see anything else about a Avatar "movie" on IMDb. On another note Cameron will be making "Battle Angel" for 2009, I can't wait for that!, who ever plays Alita/Gally has got a hard role to fill: She beter have octopus lips!

    It's not, like is said the plot looks very different and this woudl be live action and CG backgrounds. IMDb says: "Plot Outline: A love story set against interplanetary war."

    If your talking about BAA it would be based on the manga, though in live action that sucks, rather have it CG or animated.

    That's because the OVA was based on volume 2 of the Manga (9 volumes) and that worm came and died in volume 1.
