    yeah thats what i thought but everyone else thinks he looks dirty either hes just having a bad hair day or he has cactus needles stuck all over him

    Considering Appa size those "cactus needles" got to be big enough to impale you! It looks like (and this is my scientific opinion): Appa just had sex with The Thing, and he was on top. But like I said you can???t really tell much from one single frame, uncolored and being styled.
