My thoughts exactly! But I was happy in the end cause KATAANG IS CANON AND TOTALLY HAPPENED!!!!!! I'm so happy! I almost cried though when Zuko got hit by lightning I thought he was done for. Its great he's the new fire lord and Ty Lee as a Kyoshi Warrior wicked cool and cute!

Am I the only one who was disappointed? Not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but I'm just curious. I felt like the whole thing fell into its own trap of attempting to be too succinct. I wish they hadn't felt obligated to make this three 20 episode seasons. I also wish it wasn't so tailored to such a young demographic that it felt like the creativity was limited. Anyways, I didn't think it was terrible, just a little disappointing.

    Cliffhanger in case of spinoff...

    She's in the loony bin...

I thought the episode in general was really well done. A lot of shows have this great ideas and great stories and when they try to end it, they screw it up (Sopranos). I think that was a great ending to a spectacular series. There was a lot of thought put into the series and it really came out really good.

Of course, I'd be interested in how exactly the world came to be healed, I mean, there still are no more airbenders aside from Aang (and his children eventually). They could go on, but for now that seems to be the end. They also kind of led you on with the story of Zuko's mother, even for a moment making you think she had returned when Azula imagined her in the mirror. There is going to be something to come I would think, not for a little while though...

It did leave alot of things open, most obvious being the wherabouts of Zuko's mother. Also, is Aang going to rebuild the Air Temples? I mean if he dies then the entire Airbending race dies with him. And what about the Earth King? Is he still wandering around?

What about Sokka and Katara? Is she going to live with Aang? Is Sokka going back home? Is Suki going with him? Where's Toph going?

I wish they made an epilogue to conclude the story. I think this show has the potential to continue long after the Legend of Aang.

I agree, about the demographic part. But they probably didnt think, the outside demographic would be interested.

Yeah, I expected an ending like Final Fantasy XII.

It just feels like they had too much to wrap up in 2 hours. The second half of the third season in general just feels too rushed. Not enough substance, and a little too much fanservice.

I went to the nick convention though you might of seen it where Appa won, they clearly stated no more seasons, so people who think the mother hint = more episodes it wont happen. only thing they said was a real movie(with real life people) could be coming out, but that is it.

A wonderful finale. Although I still wanted to see Ursa. And I also felt so sorry for Azula☹. I hated her throughout the series, and now, I feel really sorry for her.

Yeah, I expected an ending like Final Fantasy XII.

You know I never finished that one. Got hung up at one point.

Aang's story is just a small part of this fantastic world. There are at least a dozen spinoffs capable of becoming a mini-series. Zuko searching for his mom, Aang searching for surviving airbenders, the people's reaction to the Fire Nation, Azula descending into madness, Zuko and Mei, Katara and Aang, Sokka and Suki, and what's up with Toph? The options are limitless.

I think that's what they were trying to avoid. Too much of that just waters down the experience.

Granted. But there are too many holes to leave it like this. I don't think a little more will water it down.

but, when you think new seasons you have to think of the finale you just saw, they can't just make a few episodes about Zukos mom and then end it, avatar has to go out with a bang which it did.
