    I have a theory, crazy as it might be, that Zuko is really Zhao's son! Ursa had an affair with Zhao and that is what Azulon meant as "the punishment" that Ozai would have to face. From what we can tell, Ozai just disliked Zuko before the death of Azulon, but after Ozai made life hell for Zuko! Ursa was exiled to some remote corner of the earth.

    How is it random? Zhao hates Zuko cause he sees Zuko's failure as his own. Ozai disowned him because he wasn't his in the first place. Azula dislikes him cause she knows about it. Out of all these people, only Ursa loved him because he was her own and knew his successes.

    I'm right on the Ursa parts. Its her having an affair which is crazy.
