why isnt avatar on at 430 anymore......its depressing me, seriously. however, this summer is going to be amazing. i hope it gives us some info on what happened after the last episode. i think itd be weird to like go from this dramatic, cliff hanger of an ending, to "oh lets just put on some new clothes and walk around the fire nation".i just kind of want a good ezplanation of how the gaang is going to get themselves out of the grim situation we last saw them in. i'm looking for like some serious answers to some serious questions this season.

yeah well if Zuko412s speculation is right about the first episode being a double flashback episode, I'm sure we'll get all the answers we need.??

Couple of ideas: There may be people with a disposition to produce airbenders since there is a whole race of nomadic people who were exterminated, and many might have managed to hide out in the earth kingdom. There might even be whole linieges of people who don't realize they might produce airbenders.

??And a thing I wondered, do you suppose the avatar state switches genders, for example, male airbender, female airbender. and back to male next time around, it would imply therefore that the next avatar would be a female waterbender.

One thing about the female waterbender: who here suspects that katara was next in line to be the avatar if the war had never come? She has the personality of one. She is powerful.

Don't laugh... there are stranger ships (like "azuki").

    ........*magic*

??I always thought that like, idk, Zuko and Iroh, escaping Azula, would hide in an air temple, and find a girl who believed she was the last airbender. Her parents had been killed by the fire nation and schtuff.

The whole reborn Air Benders is why i think it would be a good idea to make Malu the Ghost Whitch (in reality an airbender that survuved genocide when baby) from card games canon and that her children are AB also. Aang meets one of Malu's descendants and they fall in love and get together. the result (along with the other Malu descendants) would bring back the Air Benders, and Aang could teach them their ways (Philosophy etc)

I talked it over with Kas_Dude Sgt Hydra, and my idea with Katara, Toph and Zuko/Azula is that they are related distantly to the Avatar and the Original Element Benders. My idea was that the Avatar spirit moves from one Descendant to another in order of the elements. Its because of these connections that they are more powerful than the average bender

    I found my original post
    QUOTE:
1210. Re: Official Season Three Speculation II | 04/15/2007 6:40am I have a theory about the beginning of the Avatar, and not wanting to create a new thread for fear of beheading, i'll post it here. We know that the Avatar didnt appear at the same time as the other benders because each element bending was learnt separately, with the couple of Omashu learning from Badjer-moles, the WB learning from Moon, AB the flying bison, and FN possibly dragons (seems likely as Dragons can create fire). Now the first EBs, the two that watched the Badger-moles displayed amazing bending, with the woman destroying whole towns and building Omashu. My theory is that in the beging, those who reached a stage of enlightenment and discovered their bending in the beging without help in a way were Avatars of their Elements, being the strongest benders, continuing down with their ansestors. Being descended of those with open-minds to the world, when these Avatars had children with one another, their children were blessed with the ability to perform both parents bending to a certain extent. Eventually this lead to the first Avatar, who brock the bondries of the elements and the physical world itself, connecting to the spirit world (the Avatar state). WHen this person physically died, thier enlightened spirit reincarnated itself in one of its blood relations (the element Avatars) who could access The Avatar's spirit (which is why Avatars learn so quickly, they have the knowledge already in subconcious, also why Aang was drawn to those certain toys). SO with each incarnations death, they joined with the Avatar State, strengthning it. It is because this spirit is in itself an external force, that if it dies, it cannot move onto another body. However, whilst the Avatar exists, the descendants of the Element Avatars exist, who have a higher ability to control their elements. With the death of the avatar, it is possible for a new Avatar Spirit/line to be created from these descendants. With Aang missing for 100 years, the ability of the descendants stared to become more dominant again, resulting in the birth of people like Katara, Toph, Iroh, Azula and ZUko; people who have displayed the ability to learn their elements quickly and learn new ways of harnessing it. It seems almost destiny that the Avatar draws these Element Avatars together, first BUmi as a child (who, like the avatar dislays longevity), possible Kuzon (who may be related to ZUko and the Firelords [who were strongest of the fire sages]) and then later the current characters of the show. END QUOTE
the rest is back on page 61. I explained a tad more with Kas_Dude
