Nice. My favorites are the pilot, The Warriors of Kyoshi, The King of Omashu, The Waterbending Scroll, The Storm, The Blue Spirit, Bato of the Water Tribe, The Deserter, The Waterbending Master, and both parts to The Seige of the North.

does anyone think we will be hearing of the gan jin or jhang tribes or the great divide again or was it just a filler episode. also bato of the water tribe was good and not a filler episode. its about tells that sokka and katara's dad and his soldiers are out in the eastern earth kingdom waters in the ron-de-vu (sp?) point. apparently, appa passed the ron-de-vu point when he went to the eastern air temple. if the gaang has to go see the guru in episode 39, they might meet up with the water tribe warriors. again, i can't spell so, yea.

Bato of the Water Tribe is a very underrated episode. I think it belongs in the top 4-5 eps of the season. The animation was spectacular, more vivid than most other episodes. Plus I loved the character Bato (one of my favs of s1) and Jun of course. Seeing K&S's dad was great. The Shirshu is AWESOME. By far the best animal in Avatar EVER. Plus the fight at the end between Zuko/Jun/Shirshu vs. Aang/Appa was pretty killer. Everything about that episode was spectacular.

The Deserter was great too. Jeong Jeong is a great character. The Blue Spirit cannot be forgotten. The Avatar Roku episode was great, and Roku's firebending blast at the end puts it in my toppers list. The Siege of the North obviously was "epic" as the creators promised. The Storm provided a lot of background info and is great. Both air temple episodes were quite good. The Spirit World had great development for Zuko and Iroh, as well as the Avatar spirit. The Fortuneteller was very well-written and I loved the "calm man" and Sokka in this episode. Kataang not so much. Jet has a classic fight scene at the end with Aang vs. Jet. The Waterbending Scroll was also very well done. I liked the pilot too.

Ok, basically the only episodes I wasn't too fond of are 4-6 (I just can't get into them as much as the rest) and 11 (not bad in retrospect, had some drama and action but still not as good as the others).

My favorites were Jet and Bato of The Water Tribe.?? I loved the character development we got to see for Sokka.?? The Blue Spirit was great too...who doesn't love frozen frogs?!?? And, of course, The Seige of the North 1 and 2...kinda goes without saying.

I didn't like the first two episodes that much. My favorite episodes are:

Jet, the Deserter, and Bato of the Water Tribe

Runner ups: Southern Temple, Siege of the Norths, and Warriors of Kyoshi

Thank you! Why does no one give this episode props? The entire time Zuko and Aang danced around that well, I was screaming at the screen "You're a Waterbender now! DO IT! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, BEND! USE THE WATER YOU SON OF - YEAAAAAHHHHH!!!"

The episode didn't get topped until the finale.

I noticed something one of these days, and since I don't want to get insulted by MoA 'coz of being a waste of space as topic, I'll post it here.
Have you noticed that in almost episode of Book 1 they show a body of water?
1-2: the ocean (of course, on the south pole)
3: the ocean again (docks were Zuko took his ship to be repaired)
4: the ocean around Kioshi island
5: the waterfall of Aang's first task
6: the ocean around the prison
7- the place were Iroh is taking his bath, the ocean around Roku's temple
8- the ocean around the FN
    9-the river were they practice
10- the river that Jet want to use to drown the town
    11- NONE
12- the ocean were Sokka and the fisherman go fishing
13- the pond of the frogs
14- the river to where the lava is directed
15- the rapids were Sokka has his test
16- the river where Zhao had his ships
17- the LARGE amount of snow in the mountain's peeks
18-19-20 come on, it's the North Pole!

Ya, I noticed that to. In the first book they where always flyling over the ocean, and when ever they landed it was near a port or a river. Also Zuko traveled on is boat all throughout book one.

Then we get to book two and they fly over land moslty. And Zuko no longer has his boat and travels on foot.

im totally going for ''The Blue Spirit''. It has it's share of cool fights, and u can see Zuko's talent in Dual swords pretty well. also this was the first time that Zuko and Aang fought together and to be honest, it really surprised me how good those two are together! especially the end is very well put together. the dramatic background music in combination of Zuko turning away from his nation's flag when he goes to sleep, and Aang telling that he hasnt made a new friend. this episode has been really important for the story, although some people wouldnt think so. It shows us that the war made enemies of Aang and Zuko, while they could be friends. like i said, well put together with a perfect combination of action and drama!

Not that that's not a great observation, but I doubt in Book 3 they're gonna be wading through fire. I could be wrong, however.
