Official Episode Discussion: Secret of the Fire Nation (9/15) (Spoilers)

What makes you look forward to this episode the most?

    Learning how to work with metals was a huge change in history in our world... so it mightve been the same in the Avatar world.


    its not a theory and i am right

    historically, ppls who have learned to manipulate metal have always had an advantage over other ppls. especially in warfare.

    and to echo what xxshady said, the art of metalurgy has made HUGE changes in history.

    so in conclusion, the FN is technologically more advanced than the other nations simply because their elemental skills have lead them to manipulate metal and CREATE technology


    Although there is the point that the mechanist was the one who created a lot of the FN's technology, so technically, the fire nation didn't do anything.

    I agree, the scientist from the northern air temple invented most of their war machines, but also remember the fire nation have been to Wong_Shi_Tong's library and could have acquired a lot of knowledge for inventions and other things.

    The FN seems more organized then the other nations too. They would have to be to even think of globle conquest.

    The FN did create their ships for their navy, but other than that, we can't be entirely sure what the FN did create, compared to what the mechanist created. So while the FN is better off because of their metalurgy skills, you can't place all that ability on them, because supposedly, the mechanist created a lot of their newer weapons.

    although i agree that many FN weapons were of the mechanists design, i would still give credit to the FN for the numerous technological advances of their society. their industrial revolution (in a sense) has allowed them to become a superpower in their world.

    so in other words, i agree but still give credit to the smart cookies of the FN

    ohhhh ok. how do you find out things from comic com(con?)? isnt there a website?i think i remember looking at it when the avatar started last september(after that HUGE break from avatar)? hmm.....

    I'm back but what I'd like to say is that the FN did finish up some of the failed inventions that the creator made some of the ban information that Nick restricted helps my theory but I won't say anymore

    when will they all gets dates and go to the ball thingie where they all get dressed up is that in the secrets of the fire nation
