The only concern I had was Toph being a little too strong. How was she able to sense the Dai Lee flung their gloves in the air at the beginning of the fight if she cannot see them? |
She got gloved (totally by surprise)??in "City of Walls and Secrets", so maybe she's learned to recognize the vibration/movements associated with it?

That and I also think that she is also able to feel the motion of what move the earthbender is about to do therefore she can configure a projectory.?? I mean realy if she can sense how big they are and the earthbending move, she should be able to counter it... that's what she did in Blind Bandit when the one guy threw some rock slices at here and she moved to the side and they passed before her eyes.

That questing, how Iroh got in there, is a very haunting question. Mabey its foreshadowing that Iroh is more than what the makers of the show are leading us to believe. |
??iroh>>>zuko.U think he can't keep up with the blue spirit? He just followed him while being stealthy.(He is a general)

Ya know if you think about it Iroh has always been a little 'light' on his feet: (1) During the Agni Kai between Zhao and Zuko he came out of left field to stop Zhao in his tracks.?? One minute we see him standing at the end of the field, next he is between them. (2) During The Avatar State he was fighting soldiers on the planks while Zuko fought Azula.?? Azula is too good a fighter not to see somebody of Iroh's size come waddling across the top deck over to where she is fighting Zuko... yet, in a blink of an eye, Iroh is there to redirect the lightning away from his nephew. (3) In The Spirit World when he is capture by the earthbending soldiers, he moves awful quickly with that chain during the fight scene between him and Zuko and the soldiers. (4) In the Siege of the North Part 2... let's not forget that he was standing up in the doorway of the oasis when he threatened Zhao, yet like lightning again, he was right there beating on the soldiers in a blink of an eye once Zhao killed the moon spirit. I know there were more instances yet I can't really think of any (after 12am and I've been sick for 3 days - ack!)?? But there is a point to what exactly did happen to Iroh in the spirit world that makes him the way he is and what extra sensory or physical attributes did he pick up while he was there. |
i think what most of u are forgetting is that iroh was a powerful fire nation general. He was going to be the fire lord if his son didn't die.(He probably is just a little bit weaker then his brother.

AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LISTEN TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ME EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *SPAZZING OUT AND FOAMING AT MOUTH!!!!!!!* I just posted this in "The Crossroads of Destiny" I just watched Lake Laogai for the second time, and when Iroh yells at Zuko when Zuko is about to steal Appa, Iroh says something about Zuko's destiny. He talks about when Zuko had nowhere to go at the North Pole when he took Aang away, and that they saved him from dying. This is foreshadowing to The Crossroads of Destiny!!!!!!!!!! Iroh says something about destinies coming together or something. It is definently Zuko and Aang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope. If someone gets this on youtube then I can get the exact quote. |

Actually I think Iroh is stronger than Ozai and Azula yeah he's a man in his late 50's but he outranks Ozai whom may be powerful but not a master such as Iroh. |
He is more powerful then azula, but ozai is taking too far.
Colonel_Brian wrote: |
No in truth Ozai isn't that strong he may be a fire lord but he doesn't need to be the best to do so....what Ioh has is true experiance he was a general and he has true power we don't know much about Ozai but if he was really strong why ddin't he show he was worthy of the throne but instead used Azula to appeal to his dad? |
We don't know how strong he is and if he is weak.WTH would the point of the show be?Ok aang just beats him with no problem would be dumb.If iroh was more powerful they would have mentioned something. They are rpobably on the same level.(They probably trained together)

Speaking about Iroh being more than meets the eye... anyone remember when he actually saw that spirit-dragon flying by! Now I don't have to be an expert of Avatar to say this: normal people don't see spirits. |
There hasn't been much discussion about Iroh and his trip to the spirit world. In...hold on, im thinking, lol...in "Avatar Roku", Iroh saw the spirit-dragon, but none of the other men did (it obviously meant something)....and then in Siege of the North pt 2, zhao and iroh were on the boat:
Zhao: Years ago i stumbled upon a great and powerful secret: the identity of the moon spirit's mortal form.
Iroh: What?
Zhao: I was a young leutenant serving under general Shu in the earth kingdom. I discovered a hidden library, underground in fact. I tore through scroll after scroll. One of them contained a detailed illustration and the words moon and ocean. I knew then that these spirits could be found and killed--and that it was my destiny to do so.
Iroh: Zhao, the spirits are not to be trifled with.
Zhao: Yes, yes i know you fear the spirits, Iroh. I've heard rumors about your journey into the spirit world, but the ocean and the moon gave up their immortality to become a part of our world and now they will face the consequences.
??And somewhere I am pretty sure someone said (maybe in the show?) that you can only see spirits if you have been in the spirit world. Saying that the spirits shouldn't be trifled with, is that speaking from experience? For one, how does a regular person go into the spirit world? Secondly, what was he doing in the spirit world? was he trying to destroy a spirit? I could see it happening after his son died. Maybe he was angry at the spirits? The show will answer it eventually. It will probably be some pivitol point later on.
Now to talk about this episode, lol. I loved it! And i agree that the reunion was a bit anti-climatic. It happened so quickly. Although it recovered a bit when aang shed a tear, but overall it was so....blah, lol. but i loved the show!! I could see Zuko bringing the sickness upon himself. Possibly the stress and/or depression about everything. At this point, I think, for the first time, the hope of going home has disapeared. He KNOWS he wont be going back home, and that would be depressing. In previous instances, I think he??knew there could be a chance he wasn't going home (after "Avatar State" and they cut their hair) but I still think he had hope. He doesn't anymore.
