Finally! We can go over everything officially.

Now, as for me, it looked like Smellerbee was rubbing Jet's head, back and forth, back and forth, went her hand... I don't think she was closing his eyes?

I agree, after seeing it at 640x480 TV quality it much more obvious. By the way the "Earth King" is out on turbonick!

Can you please post a link?

Got you! I better end this joke before more come in and want to kill me.

Dangnabbit, I knew it was too good to be true. I fell for it

This is how I think Zuko's path will go before the end of the season.

The Blue Spirit, in the first season, represented Zuko's spiritual ties and his inner ability to help. As the show progressed, Zuko began to learn what it is like to be a refugee and be on the opposite side of the Fire Nation, while the Blue Spirit became his ties back to the old times, to his family.

By severing all ties with the Spirit at the end of Lake Laogai, Zuko severed his ties with the Fire Nation, thus ultimately resulting in a "spiritually crisis" mentioned in the Earth King. Eventually, his inner spirit will lead his destiny to cross with the Avatar, enabling his internal peace and ability to fight beside Aang.

I have to admit, this ep was great. I can't wait to see it on the TV (I'm going to wait for the Earth King this time; waiting makes the eps even better, as long as it's not too long, turbo nick is too small). I had a whole anaylisis on it, but it got erased. It answers many questions, like Appa (yeah, he's back!), but it leaves a lot of questions; will Jet survive (I'm not too sure he will ) and whast's next in Zuko's life? How will the gang and Zuko's fates reentertwine??? Toph and Iroh were really cool in this ep and the Dai Lee fight was cool. I'm definately excited about TEK!

I highly doubt Feng is down for the count. Thet gang will still have to battle their way in to see the Earth King at which time I am sure Feng will show his mug again. Good to have Appa back. Kind of reminded me of the Millenium Falcon coming out of the moon at the end of Star Wars:New Hope to save Luke. Good stuff. Good fight sequences and more story to go forward with. What will Zuko do? Who and where is the Earth King? Always need a good cliffhanger to help lead into the season finale.

yeah Zuko is on the track to finding him self now, I hope Iroh gives him some "tea" to help him on his trip. Did anyone notice they pulled the old "Who is behind the door" surprise twice. The first time you think Zuko is going to bust in, the second time you think the gang has finally found Appa but instead its zuko. I wonder what it would have been like if those were swapped, Zuko would have busted in just like Kiddo from Kill Bill!

I know this has already been said but,

Jet's dead, very sad.?? ("Foolish boy, you've choosen your own demise")?? Long Feng knows exactly how much rock to bend to kill someone.

Iroh has done what I have wanted him to do since day one, talk some sense into Zuko and Zuko listened!?? One thing, doesn't Zuko realize that it was his uncle's "destiny" to become Fire Lord and yet Iroh has moved on.

Zuko and Iroh are moving into the Upper Ring, how long before they will run into the gaang??? No idea.??

Longshot and Smellerbee still down there, however I think they would have time to escape since the Di Lee are all in the water

I just posted this in "The Crossroads of Destiny"

I just watched Lake Laogai for the second time, and when Iroh yells at Zuko when Zuko is about to steal Appa, Iroh says something about Zuko's destiny. He talks about when Zuko had nowhere to go at the North Pole when he took Aang away, and that they saved him from dying. This is foreshadowing to The Crossroads of Destiny!!!!!!!!!! Iroh says something about destinies coming together or something. It is definently Zuko and Aang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    I hope.

If someone gets this on youtube then I can get the exact quote.

I GOT THE QUOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HERE IT IS:
    Zuko: Uncle?
Iroh: Sooo, the blue spirit? I wonder who could be behind that mask.
Zuko: *sighs* What are you doing here?
Iroh: I was just about to ask you the same thing. What do you plan to do now that you've found the avatar's bison? Keep it locked in our new apartment? Should I go put on a pot of tea for him?
Zuko: First I have to get it out of here.
Iroh: And then what? You never think these things through! This is exactly what happened when you captured the avatar at the North Pole! You had him, and then you had nowhere to go!
Zuko: I would have figured something out!
Iroh: NO, if his friends hadn't found you, you would have frozen to death!
Zuko: ERRgggh, I know my own destiny Uncle!
Iroh: Is it your own destiny, or is it a destiny someone else has tried to force on you?
Zuko: Stop it Uncle! I have to do this.
Iroh: I'm BEGGING YOU, Prince Zuko! It's time for you to look inward, and begin asking yourself the big questions. Who are you? And what do you want?
Zuko: RARRGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! *Throws down swords and mask*

Tell me what you think about this. This is the quote that is foreshadowing that it will be Zuko's and Aang's destinies lead them to find each other in "The Crossroads of Destiny"

    Iroh gone cuckoo.

What, because he stopped playing that wise old man/goofy old man schtick? I was really glad he got some range in this episode. Zuko really needed a philosophical whack up-side the head. What, did he think he could capture the Avatar and go home to daddy? After the man sent Azula to chain him up? Absurd. He wasn't actually thinking.

Given what a monster Jet was in?? "Jet", it came off as a little silly to me how buddy-buddy everybody became so quickly. It's not like he ever repented for trying to kill an entire town or anything. The Aang gang and he parted on the worst of terms in that one...Sokka especially shouldn't have been so mellow.

So...do we have at least one??blind joke every episode now? I like it! I really liked the obvious levity in Toph's voice when she delivered that line...she usually deadpans it,??which is fine, but I just enjoyed that verge-of-laughing lightness to her voice this time.

I agree that this episode was anti-climactic.?? I though there would have been a better fight between the Avatar and Long Feng, like avatar state when jet got hit.?? But I guess Jet was never his favorite character and it seems they have not been using the avatar state as much after the avatar state episode.?? All in all Jet ie either dead or paralyzed, which doesn't matter becuase I doubt he will be in another episode since he finally redeemed himself so he is cool in the avatar's eyes either way.?? Looking forward to the next episode, but even more so to the episode when he meets the guru.

This episode was very...good yet disturbing. It all seems like something that would come out of those creepy movies. With the brain washing and stuff. Ba Sing Se is more like an insane asylum for people who beleive they can win the war, and a keeping pen for those who "don't" know the war is going on. And whats up with the Jude Lee thing, its kinda wierd for a kid show. I love the show personaly:-) But is it me or are they getting more depressing. And another thing, why is everyone like all wierd about Iroh yelling at Zuko, it was pretty obvious that tension was building.

That questing, how Iroh got in there, is a very haunting question. Mabey its foreshadowing that Iroh is more than what the makers of the show are leading us to believe.

The truly haunting question is how did Iroh get down there. Zuko may be a little dumb at some times but he is very agile and quick. Mabey, my theory, the makers of the show are foreshadowing something that Iroh is something more than they lead us to think he is. When Iroh used lightning that was very surprising. I'm beginning to think that Iroh may become a very important key in Aangs' journey to defeat Fire Lord Ozai. Mabey he will teach Aang how to use fire?

Ya know if you think about it Iroh has always been a little 'light' on his feet:

    (1) During the Agni Kai between Zhao and Zuko he came out of left field to stop Zhao in his tracks.?? One minute we see him standing at the end of the field, next he is between them.

    (2) During The Avatar State he was fighting soldiers on the planks while Zuko fought Azula.?? Azula is too good a fighter not to see somebody of Iroh's size come waddling across the top deck over to where she is fighting Zuko... yet, in a blink of an eye, Iroh is there to redirect the lightning away from his nephew.

    (3) In The Spirit World when he is capture by the earthbending soldiers, he moves awful quickly with that chain during the fight scene between him and Zuko and the soldiers.

    (4) In the Siege of the North Part 2... let's not forget that he was standing up in the doorway of the oasis when he threatened Zhao, yet like lightning again, he was right there beating on the soldiers in a blink of an eye once Zhao killed the moon spirit.

I know there were more instances yet I can't really think of any (after 12am and I've been sick for 3 days - ack!)?? But there is a point to what exactly did happen to Iroh in the spirit world that makes him the way he is and what extra sensory or physical attributes did he pick up while he was there.

The animation was terrible, and I hate what's happened to Zuko's hair, and I didn't want to see the Blue Spirit go, but it had plenty of good points, too. I'm glad Iroh finally called Zuko on his suicidal stunt at the North Pole. To me, Zuko personifies the virtue of raw perseverance; perseverance, unfortunately, not tempered with reason. Iroh's lecture in their apartment about destiny was impressive but I think out of place. I think Zuko knows what he wants (his honor, his throne, respect- to be a prince), but he still hadn't accepted capturing the Avatar wouldn't do any good. Iroh's speech in Appa's cell made more sense to me... and probably to Zuko, too, sicne that's when he listened to him. Or it could be that his challenge, "Who are you?", reminded him of his mother's last words: "Never forget who you are."

Toph and Sokka ruled the comedy department again. Toph was really impressive during the battle with the Dai Li. So was Jet; I remember thinking his metal weapons probably gave him an edge. Speaking of Jet, that scene when Long Feng turns on the mind control and makes him attack Aang was thoroughly creepy. When he regained control and turned on Long Feng, it looked move for move to me like when Terra turned on Slade in "Aftershock" of Teen Titans. I noticed when his memories came flooding back that memories of Katara seemed really prominent.

Maybe it was the darkness of the shot, but Long Feng's fatal attack on Jet was almost too quick for me to see. Whatever happened to Jet must have been serious; Katara's healing powers couldn't save him even though they were able to help break the mind spell in the beginning. It was a deep, touching scene, from his and Katara's last look to his teammates promise to stand by their leader and friend. When Longshot drew his arrow, I assumed he was preparing to stand guard, but a writer at fanfiction.net proposed maybe he was about to put Jet out of his misery.

Since I have no doubts about Toph's newly revealed ability as a human lie detector, I agree Jet's dead. I officially move him from "fanatic anti-hero" to "tragic hero."

Now I just wonder, since there was no foreshadowing, where this terrible illness of Zuko's is going to come from. And what did Long Feng mean by "control over the Earth King"? If Long Feng and Zuko ever face off, should we expect dragon puns?

Yeah, that's true... a real battle with the avatar would have been cool. But you have to admit, that earthbending battle, THAT was waaaay awesome too. Thank God for replay TV, I just *had* watch that sequence again. Go Toph!

Speaking about Iroh being more than meets the eye... anyone remember when he actually saw that spirit-dragon flying by! Now I don't have to be an expert of Avatar to say this: normal people don't see spirits.
