Yeah the Dai Li probably have it, and the gaang takes on Long Feng. Maybe they'll find it somewhere. Don't think this was a goof-up.

PS. Mellomuse -- you are on point with your analysis of Long Feng.

Hi and welcome back! Thank you for your kind words.

Slugg, you asked if I would compare Long Feng to Zhao. (I see there's now a thread about this, but I'll stick with this thread for now.) Yes, in some ways. Similarities: they are both bad guys who have character... they are well-spoken, thinkers(to some degree), strategists, and generally keep themselves under control and follow etiquette and protocol. In short, if you came upon them in some other context, you wouldn't be aware of how evil they are. I think of the first time Katara and Toph came upon Long Feng, how courteous he was and kind enough to escort these two unknown young ladies into the ball. Similarly Zhao when we saw him meet with Zuko and Iroh for the first time.

The similarities stop there. Long Feng has Zhao beat by a mile with regards to keeping his temper in check, thinking ahead, and just being evil. Zhao was egotistical, but he was a die-hard Fire Nation loyalist. Long Feng is loyal to no one, and he is always thinking one step ahead. He is also a master of secrecy and manipulation. I would almost compare Long Feng to Ozai or Azula in that regard.

    Long Feng is coooooooool.

Long Feng is overall the most powerful villian Aang has faced yet...Azula didn't have an entire city under her control, and Zhao was too hotheaded(pun slightly intended) but Azula and Zhao have Long Feng beat in one regard...Azula and Zhao's are villians across the board, but Long Feng is localized to just Aang and his Squad...Long Feng has no beef with Zuko...yet...

^^ Yeah long feng makes a pretty good villain, like I thought zhao made a good villain. He should have beef with zuko or atleast zuko's former guise.

I assume by "most powerful" you mean mentaly, because he doesn't seem to be near the fighter that Azula is or even Zhao was.

In fact, that may be Long Feng's weakness - unlike a lot of the other villians in the show, he doesn't like getting his hands dirty - he doesn't fight unless he has a lot of support.

By most powerful I mean just that, power isnt' just measured in physical strength or combat ability, but in social status. Long Feng has a whole city under his thumb cuz he has control over the Earth King.

As far as his fighting ability goes,??Long Feng waits for the right moment??and strikes as he sees fit. When he had the Dai Li attack Aang and his squad he just stood there doing nothing, waiting, and when he ran so he could isolate Aang and Long Feng. With Appa he thought he could beat Appa, he easily captured him before, but he underestimated Appa and paid for it. He should have waited a lil longer...

Well I mean, after having you secret hiding place found, fighting a whole bunch of teenagers and young kids, and having a 10 ton furry thing come to their aid, I guess he'd be a bit pissed for him not the be thinking clearly...

I don't buy that. When it looked his Di Lee were defeated, Long Feng immedatly ran for the hills - and don't give me any crap about "seperating them", there isn't any way he could have known who was follwing him, or that some of Aang's people were still left behind. Not to mention that he was content to stand back and let brainwashed Jet do all the fighting for him. Even when Jet shook it off, Long Feng still didn't stick around to fight - he attacked once, just once, and then proceded to get the heck out of Dodge.
