According to pooldude, the first episode won't even be finished until sometime in April so...
(i know its a lot of stuff, but just trying to keep things fresh)
So, ive watched the finale way too many times and now like everyone esle i'm trying to think bout the beggining of next season, most immediately: where will the gaang head out for on Appa? Are they gonna keep the earth king and Bosco (is that the bear's name?) where will they land the first night, and which direction are they heading?
Although Katara did heal/save Aang he was unconcious at the very end and looked in need of serious attn or at least a bed/food/stable area to recoup.
So where could the group head? here some of my thoughts:
1. Flip a b***ch right back to BSS and start planning a counter-coup. Even though Azula and the Dai li??are in tech.??control the city, what about all the citizens?, what about the army/guard troops? Where the hell is Iroh? They could land in the lower ring, kidnap a dai li or two and get enough info to start planning something. Also, BSS is a huge city w/ 100,000's people, if their was an orgz. uprising against the Dai Li,??i doubt they would??have the manpowr to stop it, and i think iroh will constantly play a crucial role in the next season, so the gaang might try to seek him out right away, or at least when Aang is healed.
2. Hakoda/Water tribe base. Hakoda said that the bay led to the outskirts of BSS, and all the warriors were sailing to battle some FN ships, so they could go there/drop of Aang the king and the bear and go aid the WT warriors.
3. Back to E. Air temple. It seems pretty far away, but definitly a safe place to regroup/think/heal/get insight from the guru, find out the real deal w/ Aang and the Avatar state.
4. Wilderness/boonies/random EK village: they could just land ASAP once they were far enough from BSS and start a discussing (heatedly knowing Toph and Sokka) about the best thing to do next, and take a breather/heal Aang more.
5.Omahsu/Bumi: Even though its also in FN 'control'??of Omashu??Bumi said he was just waiting for the right moment to act, (seems alot like Taoism to me accoplish the most by doing the least) and now would seem like a good time to orgz a plan to re-take Omashu and BSS.
6. North/South pole: Doesn't seem to likely to me. Both are very far and there are several closer places to land that are still safe from FN.
PS: im just as shocked as all yall about Zuko's betrayal, but i def. think he either has a plan or will wake up and smell the onion/banana juice about how stupid he was to trust Azula, (those two words should never go together!) and to betray Iroh, and i think he'll redeem himself early in season 3.
PPS i know its a bunch but ive been reading all the posts (almost 1,000 alright!) and trying to keep discussion going, cause who knows how long (a few months at the least) till the start of season three?
You know what the most painful thing about speculating about what the Squad is doing next is? We won't learn the truth for about 6 months. Guess I'm just gonna have to??spend that time struggling through the Avatar withdrawl symptoms the only way I know how. By rewatching every single season 2 episode about 20 times each. Maybe that'll tide me over.

i dont know if anyone has said anything about this, but you know how iroh has the whole fire breathing dragon like powers thing going on with him? well doesnt zuko and ozai also have that power? i remeber from book 1 ch. 9 waterbending scroll, that when zuko got mad after uncle was telling him why they were changing direction, he looked up and blew fire into the air. ozai did the same thiung in book 1 ch. 7 avatar roku. when roku was explaining the power of solziens (sp?) comet, ozai held his head in the air and blew fire. can they all do it? or is iroh's power different? im confused.....

Its one way of killing of a character, I mean the whole Aang and Katara thing is growing stronger so there is no need for characters like Jet. But I thought he was awesome character and I hope he comes back.
