If any of you recal in The Waterbending Master, Katara does a water whip just like the circus firebender when she hits the back of Pakku's head and you can also see her run at him with on in her hand. (It's when he ramps her onto the stair's railing where she grounds herself saying "You can't knock me down!")

She learned that move in "The Waterbending Scroll" and has used it countless times since.

I'm talking about actually having a whip-like form that she holds in her hand instead of with body movements.

I completely agree with you Marry Larry and ive thought the same thing since i read that article. A fn guy with disturbing connection to Katara and SOkka; 99% it had to be the killer of their mum (though they may not actually say it on the show, but only imply due to kids). Add to that an episode is called "the SOUTHERN raiders" and it makes way too much sense.

What evidence do we have that the whip guy is going to be a major character (besides his picture) and not just some minor whipping guy that appears in an episode for three seconds? Give me a link if there's a website, or just tell me if there's some common sense attached to the reasoning.

I'm not trying to say anyone's wrong about the whip guyor anything, but I just want some facts so that I can get my theories straight.

I agree with you. I think there is waaaay too much expectedfrom thepart of the whip guy by you guys. Ok, I know I have a flimsy reason; mostly, when it considers a REAL enemy (mostly in animes too), it's a pretty good looking or not so bad looking figure. When it's a steroid big guy with a weird hairdo and a bestial face or something neanderthal ugly (like CM and those hideous pirates and rhino riding firebending gang), most of the time it's just a one episode or minor enemy character.

If the guy indeed would've killed S and K's mother, then he was just someone's pawn.

I think your on to something, by the time the SR airs the writers are going to want to do something to make zuko closer to the group and helping them take down Sokka's and Katara's mother's killer, would work.

I dont think hes going to be main character- he'll be a one of like Hama was. I think the whip is the same one mentioned in the mag because it had a pic of said guy right next to it. And Avru- on a kids show what is more disturbing than facing the guy who killed your mother?

I made a post on page 53 or 54 that explained everything. It's just speculation, but (please excuse me if I sound arrogant) I'm usually right when I have enough info to work with. I've called a lot of things on this show. But again, it's not for certain though it makes sense. Blame the clues!

I think I'm not following this right...the circus guy (the one that abused Appa) killed Katara & Sokka's mom? There's a connection between the whip guy and S&K's mom's death because Katara uses a waterwhip? haha, I'm COMPLETLY lost....

Wait, mabe the " whip guy " is not the third vialin, we're not sure about that, like I mentioned on my blog, the circus tamer uses the same techinique on the animals, so if you think logically, you can think that He could be a simple prison guard or the chief, or the third vilain at the same time. But, the problem with that " disturbing connection " is that its too probable that their mom was killed by fire nation soldier and therefore can we simply said that its disturbing Then, I wont be surprised. I hope its a more twisted and strange connection, like he could their UNCLE or IDK any realistic ideas ?

Maybe its another watertibe villain who betrayed the Water Tribe and is know with the Southern Raiders. Thats my idea.

The peeps are bold, but that might just be because it's a rough sketch. Seems like a group of bickering people. Could be bandits or nomads yeah.
